kid is unquestionably a fi user. from his stance on vampires to the value of life, he faces everything that involves a moral decision and any definition of good and bad with principles drawn entirely from within and based purely on personal experience (eg despite coming from a long line of chasseurs, he disregarded external values and trusted a vampire which later led to the annihilation of his family, and it was only Then when his opinion on vampires was formed), makes no attempts to empathize on any level. his admiration for roland stemmed from viewing him as the epitome of what astolfo's naive fi stood for, but this idolatry was what later led to disappointment and resentment as soon as roland showed any failures in adhering to his personal standards (much like a ti dom despising logical inconsistency only its applied to morals). no presence of fe whatsoever. from here on ill be goin by process of elimination: it should be clear he has no ne or si at all and i just gave an argument for te-fi axis. this leaves xSFP and xNTJ. while he does show fi, i dont think it's his dom let alone high in his stack. he shows an incredibly simplistic use of fi and he definitely does not process the world primarily through it, he never stops to consider the morality of his or others' actions beyond those of his end goal and isnt concerned about justifying his actions with it. this disproves ISFP. current consensus is se dom and it was also suggested by the user below but imo theres no way his ni is inferior, and his obsessive fixation on the idealistic vision he seeks makes that especially hard to believe. his stubbornness can definitely be attributed to ni, since he abstracts his actions to serve a greater purpose and is incredibly irritated by any attempts of others to sway his subjective perception of the big picture eg literally resorting to kill those chasseurs who would get in the way. this disproves ESFP. having said that, i still dont believe his se to be inferior. while ni is definitely high in his stack, i think he has a decent enough grip on se and overall seems to be more externally oriented which makes me lean towards him leading with an extraverted function. he has a tendency to fail to slow down to introspect, takes the path of least resistance instead of the morally correct path as long as desirable result is obtained, uses social comparison (negatively) to define personal worth, often jumps into things impulsively and is almost too quick to act, has a ridiculous willingness to be openly confrontational, and is far too comfortable with risk and uncertainty to be an inf se user. this disproves INTJ. now finally. i think if anything is most evident (naturally) in him is pure unhealthy unbridled te. the way he confronts the world is how can i get this done Now? joins the chasseurs to make use of the preestablished system (strives to maintain said system by enforcing the "rules", probably another cause of his disappointment in roland) against vampires and accomplish his goal the most efficiently, spends no time contemplating the consistency in logic of things and is only concerned with what needs to be done to get ahead. he believes his actions to be a superior absolute justice to be imposed on all, result-oriented in an "ends justify the means mentality" taken to the extreme. should be about enough to prove ENTJ. fun (?) little add on for si blind: he completely rejects any usage of si be it in focusing attention on details or on any health related/self preservation aspect, eg a) cutting corners whenever possible and b) overdosing on the drug and fighting to the point of self destruction all in favor of te-ni.
Biography
He is a human who at the age of fifteen became the youngest Paladin in the history of the Chasseurs, and having been subject to the bias that all Vampires are inherently evil, has dedicated his life toward their eradication in the name of his faith. Astolfo displays psychotic behavior in the face of battle. He relishes the slaughtering of both humans and vampires alike for grievances as petty as being mistaken for a woman. His belief that a Chasseur's duty is not to protect humans but to hunt vampires enables his lust for blood. He has also shown short-temperedness, particularly when called a woman or when his skills are compared to fellow Paladin, Roland Fortis.
