when typing loulan, we should consider the fact that she constantly took risks just to explore her environment and study insects out of sheer curiosity. every time she left the garnet pavilion and took up the identity of shisui, there was always a risk of someone realizing her servants were actually disguising as "loulan" (like how jinshi realized it after maomao disappeared). this could easily foil loulans plans and cause more tension than necessary. i find it hard to believe that a ni dom would take such a risk not out of necessity, but a desire to explore. that sounds way more like something that a ne dom would do.

Lady Rouran (楼蘭, Loulan) is the former Pure Consort of the Garnet Palace, succeeding Ah Duo. She was forced into the position by her father, Prime Minister Shishou, in order to gain influence over the Inner Court. She is a secondary character in Kusuriya no Hitorigoto.
