Empress Gyokuyou (玉葉, Yuye) is the current wife of the Emperor, the former Noble Consort of the Jade Palace, and the daughter of the You Clan. The Emperor's favorite consort during her time in the Jade Palace, she continues holds great influence over the Imperial Court as Empress. She is a secondary character in Kusuriya no Hitorigoto.
