Pyeon Sang-Wook MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Pyeon Sang-Wook? Pyeon Sang-Wook is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - sp/sx - 863 in Enneagram, RCUEN in Big 5, in Socionics.

In the series he’s seen as this cold hearted man and at first a possible antagonist. What I’ve noticed on this platform is that people tend to forget that trauma and experience can make certain “thinkers” act impulsively. Trauma itself can drive some humans to do horrible actions. He hated to death Yoon Jae for all of the possible reasons in the world. Just because he isn’t a J it doesn’t mean he can’t be stubborn with his beliefs which are in this case completely justified and valid. Let’s not confuse sense of Justice and revenge with morality. Let’s not forget that after YoonJae’s trial e kept a huge grudge on him because it was natural: He killed his father and then smiled when gaven an unjustifiably absurd sentence. I am not a Fi dom but I can assure you that if someone did that sort of shit I would haunt all of their dreams and make sure to make their lives harder. YoonJae had a huge impact on Sangwook. It’s not Fi, it’s human nature. Remember that he became a gangster because there already was something which was burning deep inside of himself. He decided to bring Justice/kill for a fair amount of money. He possessed a high level of intelligence. You cannot commit murder and getting away so easily, think of that too. Now intelligence might not be directly correlated to the Ti side. Let’s remember that YoonJae wasn’t the only victim of his. He had to deal with other targets too. Also, I’ve noticed that a heavy traumatized ISFP tends to restrain themselves a lot, based on the type of trauma: they are quicker to fall and have meltdowns and are far more impulsive than the normal ISFP (it’s logical). ISTP’s on the other hand, are more prone to keep it to themselves, either completely adopting an antisocial behavior either bury it in such manner it doesn’t affect their reputation. Sangwook already had the reputation of a “bad boy” and he knew he already had the respect so he didn’t have that kind of concern. He knew he was feared and he knew that people should be afraid of him, because what he’s capable of. Now, talking about his attachment to Yoori(I might comment on her on her page): as we all know, they pretty much met when he needed to be taken care of. This is the thing Sangwook fears the most: vulnerability, which triggered that aggressive response in him. Now we don’t know his whole family background, but we might get a glimpse of a certain difference and tension between his mother and him, since he became a gangster. Even tho some people may contradict me on this one, your parents really affect that way you perceive the opposite sex. Perhaps Yoori’s nurturing nature awoken some sort of conflict in himself, but since we don’t know all of the data, we’ll never know. I would guess that most people who think he’s a Fi dom have also thought about the possibility of him being a Se>Ti. The thing is: he is rather a contemplative nature, even though his actions show otherwise. We only see him as this Alfa male killing and not giving a shit about anybody in the beginning until we get to meet him more. He also possesses a very strong emotional contentment and doesn’t show fear which makes him appear as some sort of man made out of stone lmao, this doesn’t have to do with the fact that he’s an ISTP, but rather with the fact that I cannot see Fi here.
