Stan Edgar MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Stan Edgar? Stan Edgar is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - sp/so - 163 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.

I haven't really heard an argument made that he is an INTJ 1w9 other than "he's played by the same actor as Gus Fring so therefore, he must be the same type" and "INTJ e8s do not exist." Both of these arguments demonstrate intellectual laziness and focus on the black-and-white thinking that enneagram types are correlated with certain MBTI types. As I have said, any enneagram can be ascribed to any MBTI type, even if some are more common or rarer than others. It's reductive and ignores the nuance found in these characters and I will not take any of those arguments seriously. With that out of the way, I have read arguments for 8w9 and 3w4, but I'm going to stick with the former. He seems to differ from Homelander in that he is not focused on gaining validation from his achievements and other people, but acquiring power so that he and the company at large remain feared and respected by the rest of the world, supes included. Also, being image-conscious is not exclusive to e3s, as e8s can be this way, but for Edgar, it's less so on fulfilling an internal sense of worth. Rather, he builds up an image of Vought and himself that projects power, invulnerability, and reminds others to toe the line and do what he expects from them (this is given a lot of emphasis in his interactions with Homelander). The final point I'll make is that he is quite self-confident and assured, especially compared to Homelander, which is not e8 exclusive, but the resilient, calm, and assertive image that he projects, even in the face of failure, gives more credibility to the idea that he is an 8w9 rather than a 3w4, as e8s are more likely to act this way when encountering failure compared to e3s.
