I argue that Count Dooku is an INTJ. I'm aware there is a general debate on whether he is an ENTJ or INTJ, but I think this comes down to examining the unique differences these two types have to one another. They share many similarities (due to them sharing the same functions), but the positions of these functions indicate differences. ENTJs are Te-dominants. This means that in order for their worldview to be coherent to them, they need a "bird's-eye view" on the external systems surrounding them. In order to navigate those systems to serve the needs of the dominant function, they use Secondary Ni to hone in on the things they want to accomplish. Their inferior function (or what I like to call the "recoil" of the dominant function) is inferior Fi. Since Te and Fi are two sides of the same coin, one cannot exist without the other. Dominant Te needs a presence, and inferior Fi serves as the "justification" as to why that presence is needed, and creates the potential conflict/ insecurity. On the other hand, INTJs are Ni dominants. That means what they want precedes all of the other functions in their stack. Dominant Ni works a bit like...imagine how you would draw a 3D shape. At least what I do, is that I start from a single point, and then I draw lines connecting each vertice of the shape. Each vertice might be completely unrelated to another, but they are all connected by this larger figure that groups them into some sort of distinct group. Now, replace drawing a shape with choosing topics/ areas of expertise that fit in with some sort of framework/ meaning you want to create for yourself. These areas of expertise might be completely unrelated to each other, and make little sense to others. But to you, all these subjects form a meaning of who you want to be. That's how the dynamic between Dominant Ni and Inferior Se works. Ni serves as the framework, and Se serves as the individual actions that facilitate/ serves as examples of that framework. It also tends to make Ni dominants experts at whatever they decide to practice in, because they tend to perceive failure as a reflection of their status as people (since inferior Se connects actions directly to their Ni framework which their entire worldview is composed of). While this can create lots of insecurity in INxJs, it can also inspire them to improve very quickly. To further push themselves toward their goals, INTJs will use secondary Te to use systems as they see fit (but not solely rely on them), and will hold a very child-like (but powerful) moral principle that's kept close to them to fuel their objectives (Tertiary Fi). I don't think Dooku uses Fi to solely justify his presence (which inferior Fi users often do), but he seems to genuinely believe his ideals. Dooku was described to be a political "idealist," (which in of itself states that Dooku focuses more on the ideas/ of what he believes in rather than practical implications, which is something Tertiary Fi can struggle with sometimes). He also genuinely felt that the Jedi Order through the government grew corrupt, and that Sidious' plans would actually create the peace the Jedi Order "claimed" to have pursued. He grew so loyal to this cause that he even has his own sister killed among other things. Of course, he craved power and influence over time as his dark side tendencies grew. But I'd argue this started from a legitimate plea to improve the situation around him, especially after the death of his apprentice Qui-Gon. It's just this tendency of Dooku's got manipulated and warped by Sidious. With that being said, what is a good example of Ni-Se? To me, I'd say the greatest evidence of this is actually being his insistence on using a particular lightsaber style above all others (despite the impracticality of being weak to blaster fire). Some people might claim this to be unnecessarily honing in of one aspect of his personality, but I'd say this provides some amount of insight. Especially given the example I laid down earlier. Dooku places a specific importance on the art of dueling, which almost no other Jedi or Sith does (at least not nearly to this degree). During the Clone Wars, many Jedi switched forms entirely in order to better combat the challenges presented in front of them. Dooku was one of the only ones who didn't, and instead chose to specialize on an unorthodox style which presented glaring weaknesses. Instead of abandoning it, he instead chose to solely focus on it and perfect it. While it's not explicitly stated (or maybe it is and I don't know it), I theorize Dooku relates his competency in lightsaber dueling to his worth as an individual. Sort of like how Walter White (another INTJ) viewed the quality of his "craft" as a reflection of him. You can also see this in how Dooku presents himself; with his mannerisms, dress, etiquette, etc. I think Dooku fits more as an INTJ because of these reasons.
