Finn is one of my favorite characters in the show,I remember when I was a kid he has always gave me a sense of comfort,to see such a brave,strong character but at the same time: non-toxic,compassionate,sensitive,with a strong sense of justice,who feels guilty for wrong choices and ready to help others. In this argument I will explain why Finn is 8 core and specifically SO8 as opposed to E7 1) 𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒏 𝒂𝒏 8 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒂 7? The fact that Finn is an 8 should have never surprised people on this site. Even when RHETI was a trend, Finn fits the description perfectly! Finn is confident determined, stubborn and doesn't fear confrontation. However, I do not use RHETI, but rather Claudio Naranjo. I will begin this topic, explaining how the "childhood wound" is essential to understand the passions, fixations of each subtype. The childhood wound of the enneagram 8 is this: The wound is an offense received, a betrayal, an abuse: The E8 feels and lives the conviction that he must be immediately compensated. His interpersonal style is revenge, he cannot leave open accounts. When he takes his revenge, he feels a sense of fullness. The origin of this character structure is often found in a childhood in which the very right to be a child was denied; he did not receive adequate care, neither on a concrete level, nor on an emotional-psychological level. In extreme cases, a history of abuse, which humiliated and subjugated him. Finn has absolutely nothing in common with 7s except optimistic tendencies (which is why I voted him a 7 fix), throughout the series, he doesn't run away from negativity in any way. Yes, of course, he wants to have fun, but how does he give up his gluttony like the SO7s do? The 7 can be rebellious, but not for injustices like the 8, but just for pure pleasure and in a much more diplomatic and calm way (unlike Finn who doesn't hesitate to fight with a sword, or get physical and insulting,like he did with Ice King) Finn has never shown any rationalization of his desires, made intellectual arguments for the sake of it and to justify himself.
