Looking at how INFP is currently the top vote by far, there seems to be a gross misunderstanding about Fi-Te vs. Ti-Fe. INFPs have Te inferior: it means their Ego subconsciously seeks knowledge, status, influence, power and whatnot. INTPs have Fe inferior: it means their Ego subconsciously seeks to be liked, to be of use to others, to share with others, and whatnot. Looking at Mahiro it is clear that his repressed Fe inferior nature is coming through via his hikikomori life. He spends his days playing eroges or multiplayer games, in other words trying to bridge with other human beings, be it imaginary or virtual (mark of blind Se). The whole point of this anime is getting him to open up and form ties with other people by redirecting his Fe to real people from his immediate surroundings. Morphing him into a girl is also a (comical) way for him to get more in touch with his feelings and getting him away from his Thinking Ego-centrism. If our main character was INFP, we'd be looking at a totally different anime: see Welcome to the NHK's main character, whose journey isn't about forming ties with others (Fe) but to find his place in society and endorse a status (Te) which his Ego (Fi) can properly accept.
