"Que tipo de personalidade é Marcy Regina Wu? Marcy Regina Wu é um tipo de personalidade em mbti, 7w6 - sx/sp - 792 em enneagram, SCUAI em Big 5, ILE em sociônicos."
Why Marcy is ENTP This argument is more for her jungian type being EN(T) than her MBTI, but I don’t think her MBTI and Jung types would be different, so I don’t see much of a problem with using Jung to argue for ENTP, especially since there is currently no way to vote jungian types on here. The systems are different however, so just know that it’s not good to use them interchangeably. I did my best to address arguments for INTP I’ve seen, but if there’s anything you’re doubtful of or want me to elaborate on, I’d be happy to. Also, I’m not entirely confident in my understanding of Jungian typology, so please correct me if I have gotten something wrong. I’m dividing this into a few sections, feel free to jump into whatever interests you most, especially since this is pretty long and will continue into replies. The section I’d most recommend reading is extroversion. - Irrational (N+S) rather than Rational (T+F) - Extroversion rather than Introversion - Intuition and Inferior Sensing - Extroverted Intuition Thanks to @graceland.too on tiktok for helping me with this Irrational (N+S) rather than Rational (T+F) This dichotomy is similar to the JP dichotomy in mbti. Rationality is a pretty big problem with IT(N) for her, and to an extent with INTP. I do realize that mbti has a weird way of defining this dichotomy based on the strongest extroverted function, but despite this Ti is still a judging function and fits the j side of the dichotomy regardless of the type being called INTP. A percieving/irrational dominant function clearly fits Marcy best: she is sporadic, impulsive, open minded, and curious. She’s expansive and empirical rather than decisive, and more interested in her experiences and what ideas they can inspire than coming to finalized conclusions and deciding what is of importance and what isn’t. Her attitude towards ideas and knowledge is free-spirited not rigid and rationalistic; she doesn’t categorize or systemize facts, simply appreciates them. Her understanding of the world is not grounded in reason. Extroversion rather than Introversion To start with the simplest possible definition, introverts are primarily focused on the subject or inner world, and extroverts are primarily focused on the object or external world. “Extraversion is characterized by interest in the external object, responsiveness, and a ready acceptance of external happenings, a desire to influence and be influenced by events, a need to join in and get “with it,” the capacity to endure bustle and noise of every kind, and actually find them enjoyable, constant attention to the surrounding world, the cultivation of friends and acquaintances, none too carefully selected, and finally by the great importance attached to the figure one cuts, and hence by a strong tendency to make a show of oneself.” - Jung I’d say this fits Marcy fairly well, she’s friendly and chatty, seeking involvement with other people. She’s excited by and captivated by the external world, letting it guide her intuitions (will elaborate on this later). I’d also say her desire to share in her knowledge and interests and show off her intelligence and other abilities displays an interest to have influence and “make a show of oneself”. “[Extraversion] is normally characterized by an outgoing, candid, and accommodating nature that adapts easily to a given situation, quickly forms attachments, and, setting aside any possible misgivings, will often venture forth with careless confidence into unknown situations.” - Jung Introverts are shy and hesitant around new environments preferring to think things through deeply before acting, remaining focused on introspection instead of anything around them, while extroverts are excited by and captivated by the outer world, generally acting more quickly and self-assuredly. Recall the flashback we see of Marcy meeting King Andrias in “All In”, she immediately asks him a bunch of questions, shouts out everything that comes into his head because she is so captivated by new experiences, interactions with others, and “the object”, as Jung would say. She then runs up to him almost immediately, so interested that she completely ignores propriety despite just having reminded herself of “boundaries”. Marcy does sometimes think things through before doing things (though it really seems more that she’s just quick thinking in the moment), but she is often very impulsive and I’d hardly describe her as apprehensive, hesitant, or distrusting. And I don’t think she is primarily interested in the contents of her own mind, rather she is focused on what her mind conjures up based on the environment around her, which is basically what extroverted intuition is. (Note that because of its abstractness and mental focus, extroverted intuition can appear somewhat more introverted). Marcy is excited by and captivated by the outer world, and despite awkwardness and minimal understanding of social norms she takes great interest in other people.
