He's not INFP just because he likes dreaming about fiction and he isn't the resident super-genius. He doesn't really have deep values and emotional landscape, but judges everything by his internal logic. He has a system of how the world works derived from the books he reads, and fits everything into that framework ("It's logical that according to the rules of how novels work, I'm useless and things will happen this way"). Compare to Moonwatcher who is driven by her search to understand the inherent individual experience of others and is constantly driven by her values. And although he is a nice dragon and has empathy for others, his tendency to view things as through a logical framework can sometimes alienate others, like when he explains the dragon flame cactus just in terms of analysis of it and fascination with how it works and Tsunami and Sunny are horrified by his nonchalance about what he is describing.
