What personality type is He Xuan? He Xuan is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - sp/sx - 153 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
I just want to explain the reasons that his enneagram is 1, not 8. 1. HX owns a black or white tendency. He never bribed to examiners when he took the national exams during his human period. He always refuses to admit the friendship with SQX after SQX calls him as the best friend. I think he wants to keep the boundary of their wrong relationship as long as he could (even he couldn’t). lol 2.HX is kind of conscientious and tend to be perfectionist I guess. A detail in the novel regarded that his drawing of a circle which be able to everywhere is perfect. By the way, he is not a real heaven officer but he still keep his performance in top10 at the heaven every year. 3. HX provides SQX several individual chances for keep away from his process of revenge (even at the end). He never forces SQX to do what he wants, not to involve SQX’s life choice. In contrast, SWD’s (the enneagram 8) attitude toward SQX is much dominant. For examples, he changed SQX and HX’s life secretively, he imprisoned SQX in the Water Palace after the truth revealed, even he tried to kill SQX in Nether Water Manor. 4.I think HX still keeps a moral base line in the mind. He even ask a "repentance" for SWD. Also, I think his revenge result is impartal actually, not less or more for SQX and SWD. 5.Emotion/Temper — tend to control the anger. HX is self-controlled in the most of time（including the human life). In chapter 124, even his hate and anger reaches to the peak for several times, his temper still go down quickly. I can feel his reaction is cold more than angry.

He Xuan (贺玄, Hè Xuán) is a Devastation level ghost and one of the Four Great Calamities. He bears the title Black Water Submerging Boats (黑水沉舟, Hēi Shuǐ Chén Zhōu) and his domain is the Black Water Demon Lair.
