What personality type is Layla? Layla is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - so/sp - 469 in Enneagram, RLOAI in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.
𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐏 𝐒𝐎𝟒 𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐋𝐀 𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 this was a considerably difficult argument compared to my candace analysis, since layla’s four-letter type was slightly ambiguous. i feel that layla’s functions are rather unbalanced, compared to characters such as heizou and kazuha, who demonstrate well-developed and healthy usage of their functions. however, i’ve tried my best to communicate all my points and opinions in this analysis! [1/12] i’d like to disprove Ti-dominant, first off. i think there’s reasonable arguments for this- for example, layla questioning objective, long-accepted notions that eventually led to an argument with her professor (Vision Story), and evaluating and locating patterns in a shell game, so that she could achieve the highest prize (Character Story 3); but i don’t think this is sufficient evidence for Ti-dominant, especially when we take into account what the inferior function might be. to begin with, let’s define Ti. Introverted Thinking is a cognitive function that makes logical judgements through a filter of subjective measures and internal logic systems. Ti seeks logical consistency over competence and efficiency, and is characterized by analytical behavior, step-by-step approaches to reasoning, a want to understand how things work, and pursuit for self-sufficiency and skillfulness. those with dominant Ti experience the world primarily through calculation and ‘troubleshooting’, and may display general distaste and mistrust towards proven logic they believe is inaccurate. they also appear self-assured, whilst presuming their reasoning, logic, and abilities to be usually correct. layla, despite being extremely logical, and displaying both trouble-shooting and disinterest in proven logic, is highly insecure about herself, especially in her capabilities compared to others. this contradicts the self-assured, confident demeanor of the Ti-dominant, as they operate on their own logic, which they believe to be primarily correct. -> "She often spends a great deal of time contemplating, and worrying about the validity of her theses. Is the content overly simplistic compared to that written by her classmates? Are her calculations truly accurate? And if so, are they as concise as they can be?" i believe that this quote is an excellent indicator of INFP layla. dominant Fi and inferior Te is visible through her blatant insecurity about her own capabilities (thus disproving Ti-dominant) and how she bases her value and self-worth (Introverted Feeling makes decisions based on how one feels, or how the group affects them) on objective standards, whilst demonstrating self-doubt. auxiliary Ne is also visible, in the way she overcomplicates a simple situation through generating multiple possibilities, in an indecisive manner (Fi-Te).
