What personality type is Aphelios? Aphelios is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - so/sp - 614 in Enneagram, RCOAN in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
aphelios is most likely ISTJ. I say this because aphelios feels lost in life without some kind of purpose or direction. he is faithful to his religion because if he weren't, he would feel directionless, like I mentioned. he rarely asks people for things. (he most likely feels purposeless without the moon and faith because he was born under the rare moon eclipse, in which provided him a strong connection with the moon. quote from official lore, "Mirroring the celestial event that heralded their birth, the two children knew they had been marked by fate—Aphelios physically gifted like the moon of stone, and Alune magically like its spiritual reflection. Zealously devout, they grew up within a faith of mystery, reflection, and discovery, and embraced darkness not just out of belief, but as the only thing that could keep them safe." we don't know too much about him, but judging from his actions, it can show a lot. his fi comes out when he drinks the poison because he had a kindred bond with his sister. when she didn't return from a mission, he decides to drink poison because he wants to see her back. he missed her. the ni, I guess? but I don't see it in him. the guy follows what he knows and continues to follow because if he didn't, he wouldn't know what to do. (si) he is quite headstrong and wants to continue training to become stronger and continue his religion, so it can live on for many more years and for the lunari people aphelios does what needs to be done (te) and to save his religion and people, but he doesn't like killing. aphelios keeps training to become stronger. this isn't limited to ni. Aphelios is not a bad person either. he doesn't really ask much of people and he doesn't want to kill exactly. (could be argument for 1) I think another thing is sp 1 being aphelios' subtype and enneagram core. SUBTYPE KEY: WORRY The true perfectionist who worries a lot, wants things under control and tries to anticipate risks and problems. SP Ones have a strong inner critic and are hard on themselves, with a heightened sense of responsibility. They are often anxious and like to be prepared, down to the smallest detail. This subtype avoids expressing anger but can feel deeply frustrated when disrupted. (from naranjo) aphelios does what is right and doesn't want to be a bad person. he is just simply following what he knows and wants to be a good person. he does the actions he does as an assassin because he doesn't want his people slaughtered so easily. he trains because he wants to protect, to do the right thing. the lunari fight because the solari fight and the solari have oppressed the lunari for many generations. I'm sure if aphelios could, he'd probably want to harmonize with the solari, if the solari just didn't try to continue killing and oppressing the lunari. overall, the argument I have is weak because there isn't much on aphelios because he drinks the poison, but overall, he is an ISTJ most likely judging from the lore he has and analyzations. edit: thinking about enenagram 5, I don't really see any sense of 5 from aphelios. none of his actions really dictate a 5 attitude or fear. yeah, he's a loner, but he doesn't actively try to gain knowledge to feel secure.
Biography
Emerging from moonlight’s shadow with weapons drawn, Aphelios kills the enemies of his faith in brooding silence—speaking only through the certainty of his aim, and the firing of each gun.
