Shuntarō Chishiya MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Shuntarō Chishiya? Shuntarō Chishiya is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w6 - sp/so - 538 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.

INTJ 5w6 is literally the perfect type for Chishiya tbh. -Ni: Chishiya shows multiple instances of being Ni dominant. He is a character which said trademark is him being one step ahead everybody else in Borderland and can predict things happening really easily. His uncanny ability to catch underlying patterns in games like 5 of Spades and 10 of Hearts is also extremely prominent of a really smart INTJ. Arisu and Chishiya had different insights about the 5 of Spades' solution. While Arisu used his incredible photografic memory to catch the solution, Chishiya used his analytical skills and his gut to find the safe room. While stealing the cards in the Beach, he shows extremely good catch of patterns, and figured out where all the cards were hidden solely by Aguni's reactions. Yet, he still had no certainty that any of the things he did would actually work, but he trusts his gut and that's what makes him sure he will figure things out. Before Arisu was captured, he explained that it wouldn't take long for the Hatter to be overthrown eventually and for the Beach resort to be in the hands of the military section of executives. This in fact turned out to be true, as the Hatter was found dead one morning after his last game, which took to Aguni being crowned as the new king of the Beach. Chishiya's prediction abilities and knowledge are extremely good and makes sense that he would have Ni over Ne. -Te: Chishiya does not use his own logic when doing things. He uses what would be more efficient and benefitial to him. He tricked Arisu into getting the cards, just so he could get caught and Chishiya would earn Aguni's trust. This of course is the best course of action, as if he defended Arisu, he would be risking his own position and life without earning the reward he needed. Despite Chishiya's constant talk about living on despair in Borderland, he still keeps his communication objective, so that Arisu could understand the meaning behind it. Chishiya does not try to play by his own rules, he plays other people's games in the most efficient way. That's why he never got caught by the Beach executives, despite all the shady things he was trying to pull off. -Fi: You might argue Chishiya has no Fi, due to his refusal to help Arisu and Usagi after they got caught, which would believe people to think he has no moral standards for human beings, but he actually does. Chishiya has a different kind of Fi that has to do with how he perceives the world around him. He has a really linear, yet accurate way of portraying humanity. As incased beasts waiting to jump out and attack if they were desperate for survival. This proves to be true in the 10 of Hearts game, as the military members start an entire genocide, hoping that one of their victims was the one they had to burn. He knows people will eventually turn out like that for better or for worse, and accepts that fact as it is. It's not like he has no human decency, but he really just doesn't give a **** about it, because this is not a game where you survive out of morality. -Se: Despite being inferior, Chishiya's Se is pretty well-developed. This becomes evident, as he uses this along with his Ni. We can see Chishiya is a really perceptive individual with a gifted sight on his environment. The way he found the cards in the Beach and the way he handled the 5 of Spades show that really well. The reason why it is inferior, is because one of his biggest flaws is his inability to properly handle the unpredictable courses of events. One example is when the drones circle all around the Beach. He couldn't predict that and he struggled a bit to adapt as the rules were being explained, yet he picked it up fast. Other example is in the 5 of Spades, when the other horse masked individual, attacks them. He couldn't predict that, and his first course of action, was to save his own ass and leave the room. It is not something he expected, and he expects everything to turn out the way he thinks it will. -5w6: Enneagram 5 wants to be self-sufficient, independent, and uses logic to determine the best course of action. This perfectly fits him, as his objective throughout all Alice in Borderland is to escape on his own, not depending on anyone. The reason why the 6 wing over 4 has to do with the people he lets in his inner circle. Mainly Kuina. She, Arisu and Usagi are all kind and empathetic people that can be easily trusted. Again, as I said, Chishiya prefers his allies to be predictable, so he doesn't get overwhelmed by his own weakness, which is inability to handle the unpredictable. People like Aguni and Niragi are easily more unstable and despite their great influence towards the Beach residents, this power could be used against him. He prefers to buddy with people he deems as easy to read, so that he can ensure his plan will work and that everything will play out just how he imagined it would. Spot on for him. Dunno why people are voting INTP.
