I want to talk about the symbolic meaning of Jolyne's Fe-Ni So her character is about freedom and heritage right? From the very beginning of Stone Ocean, Jolyne is trying to become free, at first in a literal sense by getting out of jail, but also in a more symbolic sense. She always gets into trouble because of her Joestar blood, because of her connection to Jotaro. So because of that almost every conflict she finds herself in doesn't have anything to do with her personally. That's why Jolyne is also trying to break free from her Joestar heritage (which is part of the reason why she lashes out to Jotaro when he visits her in the prison). But as the story progresses, she becomes more and more willing to accept her Joestar blood and to stop the enemies of her lineage. At first when Jotaro's memory and stand discs get stolen, then when she proudly proclaims her victory against Guard Westwood by pointing at her birthmark, then after the first fight against Pucci in the prison where she decides to stop his plan. But the pivotal moment of her character development is at the end where she distracts Pucci from pursuing Emporio and gives him Weather's stand disc. This is where the beauty of the freedom and heritage themes shine the most: after everyone who could fight against Pucci is dead, Jolyne is left alone and has to fulfill her role as a Joestar. The moment where she decides to give up on her life to defeat Pucci is when she fully accepts her Joestar heritage, the heritage she was shunning at the beginning and from which she wanted to be free. By fully embracing her Joestar heritage, Jolyne becomes free of it. Hence her reincarnation as Irene, where she no longer bears "Jo" in her name.

Jolyne Cujoh (空条 徐倫 Kūjō Jorīn) is the protagonist of Part 6 and the sixth JoJo of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series.Jolyne is the only female "JoJo" to date, and the daughter of Jotaro Kujo.
