They usually spend their time during the day in Hollow Cape waiting for the Lunarians to capture them, because they think they can at least be useful to them. This is because they think they're inferior to the other Gems and are not useful. During the Lunarians' surprise attack, Cinnabar reveals to Phos the shame they feels about their body and wants the Lunarians to take them away. They prefers to swallow their own poison, isolating themself so as not to hurt others. Over time Cinnabar has learned to suppress many feelings such as anger. When Phos promise them that they will find a fun job for them at first they're doubtful but then slowly tries to trust them. Because they feels that they will be able to receive love from the world which they feel they will never find.
