1. Yang Wen-li is soft-spoken, not meek. He's usually speaks his mind when asked - he just doesn't talk very loudly. 2. Definitely has Fe in stack, and Fe is well-developed - but definitely inferior ("I hate coffee"; reluctance towards/refusal of social expectations even when he's aware of them and it'd benefit him/his goals, etc). Also, Fe manifestation is super-typical of INTPs - cares a great deal about humanity and society writ large, has difficulty translating that to connecting emotionally with individuals (or connecting it to his face). 3. The comments about Ni vs Ne (not isolated to this page) are reductionist and a bit off the mark, making it sound like Ni is necessary for insight. It's not. Ti-Ne can yield rapid insights as well, albeit through a different mechanism. Ti ponders information, Ne offers theories, Ti pares down by logic, Ne offers solutions, Ti decides on best one. This can go pretty fast (especially with strong tert-Si), dependent on the person's capability at the topic; when it's a genius like Yang Wen-li and his topic of specialty (strategy), it's not surprising that this search goes at the speed of nearly immediate. (When it's not, it goes very slow - like with dancing and his love life.) When questioned, he frequently has explanations of how he logically chose between theories (Ti-Ne, not Ni-Te), which is often based on his knowledge of past situations (tert-Si). 4. He lacks a grand vision for the world compared to Reinhard. He has no driving single philosophy, just philosophies he has issues with. This isn't very in line with Ni/Fi, but totally matches the expansive yet critical view of Ne and Ti. 5. He has few, relatively simple worldly desires (tranquility, tea, and brandy). He's physically made of glass and has two left feet. Se is probably not so much inferior as not in his stack.
Biography
Yang Wen-li (Japanese: ヤン・ウェンリー) was an officer in the Free Planets Star Fleet. Known as one of the greatest admirals in human history, and at the very least equal to the brilliance of his Imperial counterpart Reinhard von Lohengramm. Despite his genius, Yang Wen-li was a relatively simple man harbouring no great ambitions. A firm believer in democracy, Yang Wen-li followed his ideals without wavering throughout his entire life.
