We never see much in Shosuke's POV, so we really never know him MANGA SPOILERS DOWN THERE(You have been warned): - - - Ti: When Shosuke entered high school, Hitomi kept bothering him. When she told him "If you score a goal in soccer I'll stop bothering you," the manga author literally drew his thought process. Heres how Shosuke thought about it: "Once you become like that too Shosuke-kun, you wouldn't need my meddling anymore." to "If you score a goal, you won't need my meddling anymore." to "If you score a goal you're free!!" It's very Ti based. Ti is deductive reasoning, breaking down ideas into fundamental principles, adjusting it to your own sense of logic. That is what Shosuke did. He took what Hitomi said to break it down to fit his own understanding. (What possibly could be his intuitive function): When Shoko and him were visiting their grandma, they were playing a game. Akira (their little cousin) lost, so did Shoko. Akira then was begging him to play against their grandma. Again, the author showed his thought process. He compared two outcomes: If he lost/refused, Akira would cry at 100 decibels, if he won, Akira would be proud and talk at 75 decibels. Shosuke obviously chose to play and win to avoid a child crying.
Biography
"Komi-kun doesn't need to communicate." Shousuke Komi (古こ見み 笑しょう介すけ, Komi Shousuke?) is Shouko's younger brother. He is also quiet most of the time but unlike his sister, when needed he can converse well. Shousuke appears to share many traits with his older sister, often choosing to remain silent and being widely popular among his peers as a result. Unlike Shouko however, who stays quiet mainly because of her anxieties and problems communicating, Shousuke simply doesn't feel bothered talking most of the time, in fact being perfectly capable of communicating without speaking in the first place. He is very apathetic, often neglecting to do anything he deems annoying or pointless, such as introducing himself to the class, instead opting to remain silent. In contrast to his sister, who's goal is to make friends, Shousuke seems to be perfectly content being by himself as he often flat-out ignores any classmates who invite him eat lunch with them.
