ISTPs can perfectly act like him, caring but not overbearing. Also, 6w5 ISTPs are slightly more group oriented than some other ISTPs, not because of being more extroverted, but because of the enneagram 6 seeking security from a group. ISTPs do care about some people, and they usually try to help them to practically solve their problems, they're just not very good at explicitelly showing that they care. He's just a pretty mature ISTP in my opinion.
