Milo James Thatch MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Milo James Thatch? Milo James Thatch is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - so/sx - 592 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.

I have to say I agree with the consensus. I just don't think there's any other type Milo could be. He's not cold, but since it's a Disney movie all the lead good guys have some *heart*. I don't see enough reason to think INFP. Milo is definitely preoccupied with questioning logic over ethic. Where people trip up and think INFP is probably from how he interacts with Commander Rourke (ENTJ), but INTPs weigh perspectives (Fe). Yes. it's inferior, but it's there. INTPs regardless of how much they can intellectualize are emotional creatures after all, because they're not judging others by their point-of-view (Te). Like I said, they weigh perspectives (Fe). Milo : "You don't know what you're tampering with, Rourke." Commander Rourke : "What's to know? It's big, it's shiny, it's gonna make us all rich." Milo : "You think it's some kind of diamond. I thought it was some kind of a battery. But we're both wrong. It's their life force. That crystal is the only thing keeping these people alive. You take that away, and they'll die." This dialogue examples Milo's dominant subjective optics/symbols/vantage (Ti). ✅ Notice he's comparing his and Commander Rourke's thoughts of meaning to the minimal zoomed-in context he has discovered. This is Ti. ✅ Notice Te types (which INFPs are) think maximally zoomed-out of detailed symbolic context. ✅ Notice Milo isn't doing that. Milo is very much zoomed in to detailed symbolic context (Ti). Milo : "So, I guess this is how it ends, huh? Fine, you win. You're wiping out an entire civilization, but, hey, you'll be rich. Congratulations, Audrey. Guess you and your dad'll be able to open that second garage after all. And, Vinny, you-you can start a whole chain of flower shops. I'm sure your family's gonna be very proud. But that's what it's all about, right? Money." Commander Rourke : "Get off your soapbox, Thatch. You've read Darwin. It's called natural selection. We're just helping it along." This exchange examples Milo's inferior objective metrics/values/limitation (Fe). ✅ Notice he's singling out people in an effort to sway conscience toward the intersubjective right/wrong (Fe), but his accessibility to Fe is inferior because Milo can't deliver the Fe in an Fe accent, meaning He can't not use subjective optics/symbols/vantage (Ti) to get his point across, which is why, for example, he picks on Audrey and Vinny knowing by the logic he was subject to they would be the best bets to turncoat from Commander Rourke. Milo : "Alright, Milo, this is it. Any last words? Yeah, I really wish I had a better idea than this." This quote example Milo's habit of talking to himself, but it also examples his auxiliary objective knowledge/expectancy (Ne). ✅ Notice throughout the movie Milo's knowledge is framed from outside himself (Ne), one of the reasons why he doesn't see eye-to-eye with Commander Rourke (an ENTJ = auxiliary Ni). Milo J. Thatch is most probable an INTP.
