What personality type is Edmund Pevensie? Edmund Pevensie is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 4w3 - sx/so - 468 in Enneagram, RLUEN in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.
I’ve voted ENTJ for him at first, but now I’m really unsure, I didn’t read the books so I can’t say anything about them, but if I’m not mistaken through the two first movies he should be around 10 yo (at least that’s what it should be, based on what I’ve heard from the books), so at that age we should just be able to see his two primary functions and maybe hits of his third. In the third movie idk at what age he is but I guess he is around 13/14, so like I said before, we should just be able to see his two primary functions, so I’m going to focus on them. First, I’d like to state why I don’t think he’s an ENTJ anymore, honestly I actually feel stupid to have ever thought of that, he has no sign of using Ni at all. Ni is a detailed and future oriented function, trying to see and understand things in the smallest details, planning and trying to connect pieces to predict nexts events, Edmund has not shown this AT ALL, he couldn’t even guess that the white witch was evil, like, HOW? anyway, I could definitely say that his aux function is Se, he is more concentrated on the happening event, on what’s happening now, not on what it could mean nor what the come out would be, it was probably something like “she is strange and intimidating but she’s treating me nice, giving me sweet and promising me that I’m going to be king, so I think she’s nice”. Another hint of aux Se is that this function by itself is reactive, explaining why he always end up shouting and confronting people when he’s angry, also could hint a possible inferior Te or Fe grip. Ok, now for the dominant function, we only have two options, Ti or Fi. Just to say why he is not Te dom: Te doms wants to simplify and optimize things, they build their logic based on external data and on what matches their perception of reality. It is also a very people oriented function and they’ll seek an ambience where everything works effectively and where everyone gets to collaborate harmonically. You can see this on Susan (Te aux), but not in Edmund, he seeks self-harmony and fulfilling his own desired and wishes. He could also be mistaken by Te dom just because he is quite driven to be relevant, to be in a leading position and successful, but I would say this speaks more about his 3 wing than him being Te dom, bcs thinking process does not define anyone’s motivations. For now I’m going to stop here cuz I’m too lazy to think more through it, but I’m going to vote ISFP bcs he seem to be very in tune with his emotions, although I don’t see very strong values for him, but maybe it’s bcs he is still a child lol. Also bcs enneagram 4 is very Fi-ish lol.
Biography
The second of the Pevensie children to go to Narnia. He betrays his siblings to the White Witch while under her influence, but as the story goes on, he accepts the error of his ways and is ultimately reformed. He is redeemed with the intervention of Aslan and joins the fight against the Witch. Fulfilling an ancient prophecy, he becomes King Edmund the Just, King of Narnia and, with sisters Susan and Lucy, co-ruler under High King Peter.
