He has shown to enjoy old-fashioned things, including his love for '60s jazz. He enjoys revisiting his memories in the flashback episodes. Fe: Very repressed in Bean's function stack. He’s way too Ti focused and doesn’t care at all if he has insulted or has hurted anyone, such as his treatment of the blue three-wheeled van. Much of the time he's a borderline sociopath, but there's plenty of moments that show that there's a real heart underneath all the madness. In "Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean", he asks her what she wanted for Christmas and she points to an engagement ring in a store window. Unfortunately, Mr. Bean mistakes her gesture for pointing to the portrait behind the ring and buys that instead. This leads to Irma tearfully running out on him during their Christmas evening together and a Bean, who seemed quite proud of himself for getting her what he thought she asked for, commenting in a hurt tone of voice, "W... what was wrong with it?"

Biography

Mr. Bean (born 15 September 1956) rarely speaks, and when he does, it is generally only a few mumbled words which are in a comically low-pitched voice. Mr. Bean often seems unaware of basic aspects of the way the world works, and the programme usually features his attempts at what would normally be considered simple activities, such as going swimming, using a television set, redecorating or going to church. The humour largely comes from his original (and often absurd) solutions to problems – usually self-inflicted – and his total disregard for others when solving them, his pettiness and occasional malevolence. He is ingenious, childish, selfish, extremely competitive and brings various unusual schemes and contrivances to everyday tasks. He was born in London and lives in a flat in Highbury. He attended the University of Sussex and concentrated on trigonometry. He has worked as a housekeeper at the Odeon Leicester Square and as a guard at the National Gallery. He drives a Mini 1000.
