huh.. Si-Fe never even crossed my mind, but i have to disagree. to directly quote user Sherlouch: Fi is a very subjective function and it varies its values for its users, and if an Fi user has important values in taking care of others, they can be even more caring and empathetic than Fe users. Fi isn't equal to egoism and Fe isn't equal to altruism. chiaki's Fi is very deep and personal to her as she grew up as a shut in. at the start of the anime, she has a very difficult time with expression. she grew up in her own fantasy world via video games and adopted thoughts, opinions, strategy, and general navigation of life through them. this is clear use of tert Si, an Fi-Si loop that she falls into until she clicks with hajime and finds her grounding in her real life. the lack of human connection she went 15(?) years without left her dominant functions untapped. Fi-Si activates during stressful situations. the habit was very apparent in her entire relationship with hajime as she continues waiting for him because she'd never dealt with a situation like that before, and she's used to video game endings that have a definite answers and conclusions (there lies her inf Te where she can't accept / understand things very well that aren't conclusive). she grows out of this as she becomes closer with her classmates. where video games were once her entire world, that role is now filled by her classmates. those relationships become to intimate, deep, and personal to her.
