What personality type is Oikawa Tooru? Oikawa Tooru is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sp - 317 in Enneagram, SLOAI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
I see why people type him as ENTJ, but that arises from the stereotype all feelers are helpful, caring and accommodating towards everyone. Would never "hurt anyone".. All Oikawa really cares about is his status. Being admired. What others think of him. That does not alone make him an Fe dominant, but the way he cares about it with wanting to look good in the eyes of others and be admired/revered to, is Fe and adapting to others in such a way to obtain that. An ENTJ would not adapt in the way he does, unless they had a very, very objective strategy that compelled them to. He manipulates people and reads their energy using Fe. His ability to read the court and his peers as his coaches comment upon as well as the Karasuno team is all indicative of his Fe-Ni, tertiary Se. His charming girls and being late to practice because of that is his Fe.. A darker side of Fe is that it can be very manipulative, knowing just how to hit you in the right spot. It also can work well of course you can "manipulate" someone in a way where it brings out their positive potential, like how he does so in his teammates. He is not completely self-centered. He cares a lot about what others think about him, and that is because he is an Fe dominant. But we do see some of his darker qualities, at least up to the first two seasons, because I have not watched seasons 3-4. How he adapts to environments quickly is very Fe. He is a social chameleon. If Oikawa were not an ENFJ, he would be an ENTP. ENFJ and ENTP can fit him, but Fe dominant makes more sense and I have not really seen any inferior Si.
