What personality type is Snake? Snake is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - sp/so - 873 in Enneagram, RCUEN in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
My guess is sp 8. This dude is actually quite the hedonist when you see how he interacts with Ketil’s dad. Not sure how his behavior is indicative of 9. He isn’t necessarily a go with the flow anti change type like the 9, nor is he accommodative in his behavior or symbolizing the concrete things he does for sustenance. Rather he seems quite demanding and this shows in his impatient attitude towards Ketil’s dad, always demanding food and shelter, even demanding company. A 9 simply wouldn’t be as demanding as Snake is, plus there are virtually zero similarities between him and someone like Thors, who is more accommodating of others and less rambunctious in leisure. And yes, its true that Snake is devoted to his duty to Ketil, regardless of said duty, but he voices that he wasn’t always this way, that he actually lacked honor in the past and was trying to atone for, what seemed to be, completely selfish desires. My guess is ESTP sp/so 8 because his natural personality seems to be what we see of him when he’s around Ketil’s dad, which is that of a demanding hedonist, and a secondary social instinct makes sense because of his devotion to duty and protective ownership he has over his men. Also alot of people tend to forget that the sp 8 looks like an sp 9 as the sp 8 is characterized by a sleep, indulge and sleep attitude. This comes off like the indulgent sp 9 for obvious reasons, but they lack the routine or structured orientation of the 9 in general. From my perspective there have been 4 Se doms as far as the first couple seasons. I believe Thorkell is the ES(F) sx 8, Einar the ES(F) so 8, Snake the ES(T) sp 8 and Thorgil who is probably an ES(T) sp 8. He and Thorgil actually seem to have similar characteristics when it comes to demanding satisfaction, Thorgil seems to aim his need for satisfaction towards fighting, whereas it seems Snake used to be that way and then directed his need for satisfaction in more leisure things like excess eating and sleeping.
