So let's drop the "does the same thing every day therefore Si" argument as that is highly flawed and stereotyped. Now let's go onto the real reasons he is an ISTJ. ● Si: "Using past impressions in order to develop your beliefs which becomes the base to the way you see the world" → An observant child, Teru Mikami has started developing his sense of justice and beliefs from early on. As he'd witness his classmates being bullied, his point of view had already began to change drastically. He'd be taking his first step by dividing humanity in two separate groups, the "good" and the "evil". That aligned with his strong moral compass (good usage of Fi) has instilled in him the desire of standing up for his bullied classmates, the people he'd see as victims. Skipping a few years into the future, a tragedy happened. Mikami's mother was killed in a car accident, those who were in the car were actually the 4 main delinquents that terrorized Mikami's school, they also died in the accident. This chapter would've affected him in many ways, tragedy changes people independent of their cognitive functions but Mikami would ultimately change once again the way he saw society and use that to develop his beliefs for the rest of his life. After seeing how peaceful his school was after the death of the bullies, this realization would get him to believe that was the best possible outcome, as the "problems" on his environment were gone at last. Starting from this point, his beliefs centered around that very concept. That the evil ones deserved death, and that'd make life better for the ones he judges to be good people, deserving of being in this thriving community. A concept polished and developed purely out of his past impressions and experiences.
Biography
Teru Mikami (魅上 照, Mikami Teru) is a criminal prosecutor chosen as the Hand of Kira by Light Yagami. Mikami takes ownership of Gelus's Death Note after Light falls under suspicion of being Kira again, and needs someone to act as Kira without being given every order.
