Personality

What personality type is Charlotte "CeCe" Drake? Charlotte "CeCe" Drake is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sx/so - 278 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.

Extroverted Sensing (Se): During her tenure as “A”, Charlotte is unafraid of getting her hands dirty and putting the liars (and others) into physical life threatening situations that include but are not limited to: driving a car through Emily’s house, attacking Alison in her own home, killing Detective Wilden, almost drowning Jenna Marshall, drugging and kidnapping her own family members, escaping from police custody, and blowing up Toby Cavanaugh’s house. Though she thrives on emotional torture as well (Fe), a lot of it results from her having to be aware of her environment and knowing the perfect opportunity to strike. Charlotte is also behind the elaborate dollhouse, constructing each room and forcing the girls to go to a lavish prom she set up for them. When she is first introduced as Cece Drake, Alison’s mysterious older friend, she is shown to be fashion forward and enjoys being the center of attention, driving around in a red convertible and integrating herself into the girls’ lives. Introverted Thinking (Ti): It’s only when Charlotte decides to reveal herself as the elusive A that the Liars know her true identity. She doesn’t think of the Liars as people but rather her own dolls to play with. When Alison confronts her that “You can’t steal people from their families and lock them up to play with them like they’re your toys”, Charlotte is quick to remind Alison that she in fact did just that. Charlotte is smart and knows it, managing to get into UPenn and being an expert at Math by merely studying it from books and using it as her “escape” from Radley. Using her new out privileges, Charlotte figures out how to assume the identity of “Cece Drake” to get close to her family by befriending Jason and Alison. Extroverted Feeling (Fe): “I only got mad when you didn’t listen!” Charlotte is quick to deflect blame onto others for being the way she is and the extreme behavior she exhibits. Like Alison (Fe-dom), Charlotte exudes superficial charm but can also be quite cruel. She’s able to fool the doctors at Welby into thinking that she’s made progress as well as Alison herself, the only person she doesn’t fool is none other than Mona. She takes pride in the fact that she emotionally traumatized the girls: “None of you are sure when you look in the mirror. None of you are really certain who you are. I did that. I took that away from you the same way everything was stolen from me. And now I’m back. And everything that happened before. That’s gonna feel like a picnic.“ She admits to not being able to leave the game behind because it bolstered her own ego. Introverted Intuition (Ni): Underestimating Mona who happens to be a Ni-dom appears to be her downfall after she gets released from Welby. Charlotte’s more adept at improvisation than long term planning although there are certain instances where she’s able to do just that: the Dollhouse and planning on how she’s going to manipulate her way out of Welby, biding her time for five long years.

Biography

She is initially presented as a dangerous Manipulative Bastard who can predict the Liars' every move and come up with the perfect counter-move. However, once her identity is revealed and all the intrigue stripped away, she comes off less as "cool" and more as tragic and pitiful. In the end, even her former victims can't help but pity her.
