SX8 BLACK STAR ARGUMENT (and debunks) [1/2] 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 i see that E3 votes are arising with the intention to type him SO3 and i believe that this take is terribly bad. people have a very different interpretation of how SO3 actually is, and they simply reduce SO3's whole definition to "it wants to gain attention and be the best". while this is not necessarily wrong, they forget some other aspects of great importance about this subtype. in this argument i am going to debunk the SO3 and SO8 takes and also explain SX8 for black star. E3 is so concentrated on what the objective demands, on what the outside expects and values, that it leads to a particular self-abandonment and great lack of interiority. we may say that the E3 "loses itself" in the idealized image created purely by the outside, there is no contact with the internal experience. the "true" self remains, therefore, hidden or left behind, neglected. this attitude is only a product of the search for love and recognition, for admiration. although black star is heavily concerned with getting attention and gaining recognition, he does not by any means apply any of these ways of behaving. he is, in fact, very true to himself, all of his actions are based on his own values, or at least he doesnt place any amount of value on objective principles or anything like that. like i said earlier, he is purely guided by his own judgement and he does not subordinate to this of others. >"Vanity in the sphere of adaptation makes the individual desire a good public image. They know how to climb the social ladder, know when to speak up, when to stay quiet, when to act, when to stay still." the E3 (especially SO3) is known for adapting itself completely to objective standards, shaping itself to the "wanted image" that comes from the external. may i ask, how is this black star? he is the complete opposite of this, he is driven by a rebellious nature, practically unable to do what is expected of him. he fails to follow these objective standards, and acts on impulse. meaning, he is completely unaware of this "social intellectuality" that the E3 has. he wants to be admired for something that he IS, not for the image he cultivated himself. he is very much driven by his own values (highly correlated with his Fi auxiliary) to the point of rebelliousness, totally disregarding the norms and what is "socially accepted". this guy isnt careful to keep his social status at all, he just wants to do whatever he wants and be admired by his accomplishments. his hot-headed, spontaneous personality simply opposes SO3's self-controlled strategical behaviour entirely. while SO3 is focused on the social norms, values and external standards, SX8 (and E8 in general) is the complete opposite because of its "antisocial" nature, ignoring and rebelling to these norms. >"Sexual Eights have a strong antisocial tendency.
