Hi; I just would like to provide some quick thoughts if that’s ok… —> Ok, so this was actually not much longer after Agent Rossi was introduced into the show, but there was the crisis involved in which (Agent?) Garcia was the subject of a manhunt; well, it was when the whole team had gathered into her apartment I believe, and were trying to pick up on a loose thread of how the people involved with the manhunt were able to locate Garcia… —> I’m sorry, please bear with my vagueness; again, Criminal Minds is a show that my fiancé has primarily been watching that I’ve been mostly sitting in on— so the rest of the team was trying to be mindful of Garcia’s feelings - especially since she was very understandably shaken up after having nearly been killed - when trying to probe her, but then Agent Rossi was like “enough of this bullcrap”— —> He summoned his inner Joker and was like “LOOK AT ME” and harnessed his anger and direct focus to have Garcia eke out the secret of her having provided emotional support services for victims of previous cases or something along those lines— so as an Enneagram Type 9 myself, I once considered Type 8 to be my “opposite”, but it was after watching that scene with Agent Rossi in the which I was able to get a thankfully realistic view into the plight of Enneagram 8. —> Enneagram 8 relies on its inherent anger and drive to actively assert its boundaries as relative to its surroundings in order to get its needs met and I now realize what an awesome thing that is; sure, yes, Agent Rossi might’ve been a little too harsh, but his anger was understandable— he knew that there was was something dishonest going on, so he didn’t want to put up with any more bullcrap, having gone right in and pushed for a solution. —> Later on into the show (my fiancé is currently in the middle of season 12 right now; Dr Reid is in prison), Agent Rossi would prove to find healthier, more balanced strengths in being humble and generous whereas he initially might’ve not been as trusting, but the Type 8 need for independence and assertion of being able to handle things on its own terms still does and understandably pops up. —> …Crud, I forget the serial killer’s name, but there was the one that Agent Rossi formed a deal with to have him transferred from death row on the basis that he would reveal a name of a victim on Agent Rossi’s birthday every year— Agent Prentiss had sent Agents Jareau and Dr Lewis down to help, but Agent Rossi resisted any assistance as he needed to handle things on his own terms; which again, to make sure this is on topic as a typology comment, I mean to refer to manifestations as Enneagram Type 8 for Agent Rossi. Thank you.

Biography

One of the founding members of the BAU, who became wealthy and somewhat famous writing books about his experiences in the early days of the unit. Came out of retirement to fill the spot left empty by Jason Gideon's departure early in Season 3, serving as the team's oldest and most experienced member, though he's noticeably more wry and ornery than Gideon was.
