What personality type is Clyde Donovan? Clyde Donovan is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 3w2 - so/sx - 379 in Enneagram, SCUAN in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.
I personally don’t truly see Clyde fitting the jock stereotype accurately, now that I think of it, or much less being the “lovable himbo” that the fans portray him as. I actually perceive him as an average kid who is image-conscious and is desperate to be popular, which leads him to resort to means such as dating girls like Bebe to boost his social standing. While I do feel Bebe is genuinely a pretty, popular girl who fits the role of the blonde cheerleader, Clyde is simply a normal kid who is modestly good at sports, and is possibly even on the chubby side (although not to Cartman’s extent). I never believed the girls truly saw him as the “cutest guy” in the grade, as it is heavily implied that list was forged, although Clyde can indeed come across as shallow at times with his desire to have friends and seek approval from others. If anything though, I think he might be one of the nicer kids deep down and that he seems like the kind of guy who protects the underdogs. He still isn’t one of my favorites in the show, but I feel like his popularity and good looks have potentially been exaggerated by the fans. I also can interpret his behavior in the fake “deep texts” he sent Bebe as him simply being a typical boy and not fully understanding how girls work, which is true for Stan as well.
Biography
One of the 4th graders who attends South Park Elementary. Clyde was once described as the second fattest kid next to Cartman. Some of the girls in his class once put him at #1 on their "Cutest Boys" list just to get free shoes since his father owns a shoe store and they want to justify dating him by making him look popular. His role in Coon and Friends is Mosquito.
