What personality type is Tweek Tweak? Tweek Tweak is an ISFJ personality type in MBTI, 6w7 - sp/so - 649 in Enneagram, RLUAI in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.
Okay, let me explain why I think Tweek is an ISFJ stuck in a Ne grip. First of all, I doubt a Ne dom would have such a disastrous use of their *dominant* function considering it's the one that you supposedly use the best. ENFPs, due to dominant Ne, are keen on the explorations of different ideas. The Ne dom monologue is: “I am swimming in an endless sea of possibilities about what to do/experience/think about next and I want to try them all”. Now, let's take a look at the description of Ne grip: "instead of relying on Si to ground themselves in what’s known, they begin to reject the way they’ve traditionally done things and engage in uncharacteristic bursts of flightiness and unpredictability. Though they no longer trust their traditional methods, they become paralyzed by the thought of a million potential negative outcomes, making them feel lost and overwhelmed. This causes their decisions to be uncharacteristically impulsive, which is followed by immediate regret and a further sense of ambiguity and chaos." Taking both of them into consideration, which one sounds like Tweek to you? In my opinion, Tweek has a very immature use of Ne since he doesn't have the abilty to distinguish which ideas are valid and which are not. That's why he's prone to catastrophic thinking and fearful-based ideas about the many ways a situation could go wrong. He's not interested in exploring these ideas, he tries to imagine a bunch of different negative possibilities in an attempt to see ahead. Tweek actually seems to dislike abstract communication, for instance when his father tries to communicate through long-winded anecdotes that according to Tweek, "never go anywhere" or use "flowery similes and metaphors", Tweek is extremely exasperated by this: "You guys never help me! Your stories never go anywhere! I hate it! I want out! I want out!" Craig: "For a spaz, you can surely move slow." Tweek: "Shut up, shut up, I’m thinking!" Tweek rarely acts spontaneously like a Ne dom, and when he does, it's always anxiety-driven. Even when he stood up for his friends in "Free Hat", wielding an RPG it wasn't a spontaneous decision. Si makes careful and meticulous individuals because they "will frequently experience an unconscious striving to organize the contents of their experience into a general mental regimen which is not just valid in the here and now, but which might conceivably be capable of ending up in a future textbook on the subject." This is why we stereotypically hear of their thorough, cautious, and reserved nature, which is something that resembles Tweek instead of the striving for exploration and experimentation present in Ne doms. Tweek's cautious personality and fear of the unknown is what makes me think he's an ISFJ over an ESFJ (an ESFJ paranoia wouldn't derive primarily from their fear of the unknown), plus I think his Ti is too high to be inferior. Regarding his supposed Fi aux, I literally don't remember a single moment in which he made a decision based on his own inner moral compass like Stan or even Cartman. Like Kyle, his morals seem to stem from his environment, considering he's constantly worrying about "what he's supposed to be doing" usually according to his parents. Part of Tweek's paranoia is triggered by the fear of being unable to act according to what's expected from him. This means he's extremely aware of what's socially appropriate and what isn't, which makes me think first of Fe over Fi. Tweek is very concerned about the way he comes across to other people, often seeking external approval about his decisions. Plus, unlike Fi/Te, Tweek looks like he's process-oriented: Craig: "We were supposed to be a duo. Remember, Tweek?" Tweek: "Yeah, I remember! So when I walked out on Coon and Friends, you should've walked out with me!" Craig: "I like Coon and Friends." Tweek: "Because you’ve got your own movie!" Craig: "Super Craig had to have movies before Wonder Tweek was introduced! It made no sense otherwise." Tweek: "Your whole group makes no sense!" Tweek wanted the new kid to go with him to relationship counseling because he apparently made Craig think "rationally". Or when Craig gave him the receipt for Stripe he says that Craig finally decided to be reasonable. In general, I think a Fi user that felt been wronged would’ve been way more stubborn in their stance, yet he's constantly trying to smooth things over with Craig, constantly giving him the chance to change his mind. As I said before, I think Tweek is process-oriented since his thoughts seem to be held together by logical reasoning, unlike Fi/Te users, who tend to be result-oriented. Really doubt he'd be Ti blind or have inf Ti. As an auxiliary function, Fi manifests as a method of reflecting on and assessing how the user feels about their actions, in order to decide whether or not to keep doing them, and we can see, even if at many times he was conflicted with the main gang's activities when he replaced Kenny, he still stuck with them.
