What personality type is Kishibe? Kishibe is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 5w6 - sp/sx - 582 in Enneagram, RCUEI in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
"You know, the devil hunters that devils are scared of are the ones with the most screws loose" This Kishibe's code of devil hunters is not only just thoroughly true throughout csm, but could also possibly explain his Ti, Se, Ni, and Fe. In Himeno's flashback, Kishibe explains how each devil hunter died because they were "normal." This is Kishibe's own understanding(Ti) of seeing capabilities of devil hunters. After all, normal people fear the devils whereas even devils could fear what they can not understand, which are "ones with the most screw loose." This dominance of Ti is something that oppresses Kishibe to build intimate relationship with others(inferior Fe). For instance, Kishibe claims that he sought for "toys that won't break," and agrees to teach Denji and Power seeing their abnormality. While somewhat speculative, Kishibe is a teacher paranoid of losing students he taught. He is well aware that even he taught normal students, they will end up dead, breaking relationship he built. This behavior of valuing relationship yet struggling mirrors that of Angel Devil, who is probably INTP. Angel devil as well feared getting close to Aki, as he heard Aki disliked Devils the most out of devil hunters. Angel Devil however builds his own understanding of Aki throughout the series, and develops closer relationsip with him. The difference however between Kishibe and Angel Devil is their preference to seek possibility(Ne aux) and preference to stay realistically grounded(Se aux). Even after Future demon predicted Aki's death, Angel Devil entertains the possibility of 'What if Aki just stayed away from Denji? He could possibly avoid his future of death.' On the other hand, Kishibe did not entertain the possibility of saving Quanxi from Makima. Which again draws a difference with Angel Devil who tried to fight Makima without both arms. Angel Devil sees many possibilities, even if they are not realistically grounded(Ne aux with Se blindspot). On the other hand, Kishibe sees one conclusive answer from the objective reality(Se aux with Ni tert).
