What personality type is Qí Xiǎotiān "Monkey Kid"? Qí Xiǎotiān "Monkey Kid" is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - so/sx - 739 in Enneagram, SLUAI in Big 5, in Socionics.

I think what's gotten some people confused, myself included at one point, about MK's character is that he looks up to Sun Wukong a lot as the very cool great sage equal to heaven, and he, as said in the 'Macaque' episode wants to be good enough just like him. And he always strives himself to do better. And I don't think that necessarily means he's a 3 core. Sure, he has a vibrant 3 fix, but I think 7's avoiding pain at all costs and pleasure seeking traits are more present in him. for example, in season 2 after meeting LBD for the first time, we see MK doing everything he can to avoid confronting the real problem in front of him, which is LBD himself, to avoid the inevitable pain that that will cause to him and his friends. (which could be indicative of primary social instinct as well, but I'm not sure on that) While his struggles with feeling like he is not the right successor to Wukong come second, as seen in Shadow Play. (spoilers for season 4) And the other big reason why I don't see him as a 3 core at all, is the way LBD's words stuck with him. We see MK on his desperate little pursuit to avoid having to feel pain at all costs, because he believed in her words. I see it as very unlikely for a 3 core to want to go back to being ordinary MK. And even way back in episode 1 of season 4, he expresses only wanting things to go back to normal. He doesn't thrive in being the hero of the situation at that moment like a 3 core probably would, even though he was the one to save the world from all the threats that he thinks he caused. TL;DR, he's a silly little unhealthy 7 at the moment and I care him :]

Biography

MK is a noodle delivery boy and the successor of the Monkey King. When MK learned that the Demon Bull King was freed from his imprisonment, he, along with Mei, Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy, went on a quest to Flower Fruit Mountain. However, when he went to Flower Fruit Mountain, the Monkey King appointed him as his successor. MK then defeated the Demon Bull King, earning the title Monkie Kid. Sometime later, MK's power was sealed by Monkey King, who began training him. MK fought many demons, including Macaque, who tricked him and temporarily stole his powers. After the Demon Bull family freed the Lady Bone Demon from her tomb, MK helped Princess Iron Fan and Red Son free the Demon Bull King from her possession. When the Spider Queen took control of the city and captured the Monkey King during New Year's, MK, his friends, and Red Son traveled to the Celestial Realm to gather ingredients for an antidote to the Spider Queen's venom. MK along with the Monkey King defeated Spider Queen.
