Denethor is LSE. His entire downfall in Return of the King is a depiction of Fi suggestive. LSEs rely on Fi for moral support, goodwill and stability in relationships. Denethor lost a big chunk of that when Boromir died, and then Faramir's apparent death just drove him past the point of no return. For Si vs Ni, it's pretty easy to figure out that Denethor is a Si-valuing individual. LSEs place great value on comfort and tangibility, cleanliness and order in their living space. They are the proverbial "My house is my castle". Denethor's refusal to acknowledge Aragorn's claim to the throne of Gondor is one such example of this, an unhealthy example. Another example is the dining scene where he displays his preference for sensory aesthetics; song and food; while he sends young men to die in battle. These are all examples of Si-valuation. Furthermore, the book goes into greater detail over how Denethor's broken morale was based on how he perceived the hopelessness in resisting the might of Sauron's armies; which is an indication of Ni-PoLR.
