He is just such an unhealthy and ridiculous who really need to talk about his issues than just being typical jerk who hates Dipper because of his ego and doesn't really try to change or take responsibility. It is frustrating to see how his character continues in this series and barely changes. I don't know maybe I'm wrong, he is just not exactly likable, sorry.
