What personality type is Arya Dröttning? Arya Dröttning is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sp/sx - 541 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, ESI in Socionics.
I adore Arya so much, she is one of my most favorite characters (my nickname is solid proof for that :)) I see we all agree Arya is Ni dom and she is beautiful example of INTJ!! I want to talk about her enneagram. For me she is 5 with strong 4 wing (and 4 fix) and her tritype is 541, this makes sense the most for me. I have to state that my following arguments will be based on vague memories because I haven't re-reading The Inheritance Cycle the past few years. Arya doesn't seem as part of Heart triad, she is much more withdrawn and cerebral than 4s. The relationship between Arya and her emotions are complicated - she definitely doesn't feel particularly comfortable expressing them as a 4 would be but her feelings run deeply. Arya is quite innovative and seem like she lives in her head all the time and her thoughts are her best friends. Also she is unusual, independent, aloof, she is very direct in her speech and quite eccentric elf (she appeared uncomfortable among other elves as well as humans in Varden) with her curiosity, the way she not accepting received opinions and doctrines and question everything (do you guy remember her clash with the dwarves about their richly decorated temples that is mentioned in in the Eldest? I think this clash show to us her Te-Fi together with her 5 core and shades of her 1 fix). Arya wants to be capable Queen and Dragon rider, also she really believes in helping elves (she chosen to become an ambassador to the Varden and of course her yawë symbol with which was her pledge of unconditional service towards her people). I think Arya's core fear is being useless and helpless. I remember how broken she was after Durza torture her, how she keeps her facade of strong person for so long and how she break this mask in Brisingr while she traveled with Eragon and when she finally decided go open up emotionally and trust Eragon and share her trauma with him. My last argument about her being 5 is her disintegration to 7 when she was stressed after the battle of Dras-Leona (Inheritance book) and how she was going to Eragon's tent to drink together, it was SO reckless, I didn't expect this behavior from her at all. To be honest I was between 4 and 5 but after I analyzed her behavior and character I stick up with 5 for her :))
