What personality type is Pennywise? Pennywise is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sp/sx - 873 in Enneagram, SLUEI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
Extroverted Intuition (Ne): IT is older than mankind and probably life as we know it itself. Therefore, it is unfamiliar with our sensory world but has adapted through its vast repertoire of powers such as shape-shifting, mind-reading, telekinesis, telepathy and more. Although its most preferred method is getting in its targets’ heads through hallucinations. Similar to Freddy Krueger, IT’s powers are practically unlimited and it makes the most creative use of said powers Introverted Thinking (Ti): IT manipulates targets all with the end goal of feeding on them. It understands that people’s fears is what makes them easy and supposedly, better tasting prey. Therefore it will come up with a myriad of ways to terrify its victims before doing away with them. Much like a cat that loves to play with its food before feasting. IT seems bound to the sewer system so it will make an appearance through pipe works or any nearby outlet to attack people. Extroverted Feeling (Fe): In order to prey on victims however, IT will not hesitate to use their emotional weakness against them. It has figured out that clowns are what children typically associate with fun, therefore it has decided to take its shape to lure in unsuspecting victims, manipulating them into trust. IT has understanding of people’s worst fears and uses it against its victims in order to psychologically weaken them. For instance, one of the kids is terrified of germs so IT decides to pose as a rotting human being to get a hold on him, similarly, IT uses hallucinations of one child’s younger brother (an earlier victim) against him. Introverted Sensing (Si): But at the end of the day, IT needs to feed. Supposedly IT appears every 27 years to feast as some sort of morbid ritual. IT has grown rather fond of the Pennywise persona, seeing it as a formula that works. However, for all its powers, IT ultimately can’t adapt to our world and is bested by no less than brave misfit teenagers, which it has completely under-estimated.
Biography
IT's favorite (and most iconic) form is Pennywise the Dancing Clown. Modelled on the pierrot clowns of old, he employs the clownish persona as bait for young children, luring them with jokes and offers to visit his circus, but also doubles as an effective form to scare people with coulrophobia (a fear of, well, clowns) shitless.
