Personality

What personality type is Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon)? Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon) is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - sp/so - 279 in Enneagram, SLUAN in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.

i am finnalllyyy making an argument on usagis fi usage > fe woooo but before yall downvote and come for me please take the time to genuinely read this as i believe it explains a lot of the confusion when it comes to her mbti type :) (**also be aware that this is based off the 90s anime, not crystal / the manga. they have separate profiles**) (1/2) also read my sp2 argument :D https://www.personality-database.com/comment/5630464?profileID=5246 i originally believed that usagi was an ESFJ, i could see a lot of what i believed was fe and a little bit of si too. however i don't think that this is really the case for her. yes, usagi is ditzy, unorganized, hyper, and distractible but that is NOT why i believe that she is likely an ENFP, so don't get that twisted lmao. - a good explanation as to why a lot of us see/saw fe and si traits in usagi i would say is because of her socionics type. usagi is an ESE, meaning that she is fe base and si creative. yes i am aware fe and si in socionics is slightly different from mbti but A LOT of the arguments as to why she uses those two functions in mbti sound a lot like fe and si in socio. here are a few descriptions of fe base + si creative in ese,, fe base; "The ESE is quick to recognize and respond to passion and emotional involvement, stimulating it where there is none and fueling it where there is. He is well aware of his own and others’ passions and tastes and likes to do and say things that stimulates and gives expression to these passions. The ESE likes to see people become lively and animated and show what they feel without thinking first. The ESE equally expects others to let out their negative emotions (despair, anger, sadness) in periods of distress, since he knows keeping them inside can only aggravate bitterness and discontent." "The ESE sees reality through the prism of the emotional atmosphere around him, which is mainly, though not exclusively, influenced by the surrounding people and their moods. He will always have much to say about the “vibe” given off by various sensory stimuli." - in a lot of the arguments for usagis fe, it is noted how she is good at reading the emotional atmosphere, how involved she is in her friends lives, and how much attention she pays to external opinions / opinions of the outside. firstly, i disagree. i think that usagi is sort of 'shameless' in a sense but then again she starts off in the series being very immature but either way, all of these traits point more to fe base rather than mbti fe, which is described as more emotionally detached, being more attuned to others feelings, and are more likely to use feelings as a measurement of acceptability. here are some quick descriptions of mbti fe to contrast from socio fe mbti fe; "whenever left to their own devices, Fe types don’t tend to experience much emotion because Fe orients the mind toward external sources of feeling. Therefore, Fe types tend to be emotionally neutral (some might even describe themselves as “empty” or “detached”) until there is some external factor/problem influencing/provoking emotional responses that serve to fill the mind with feelings to process. Fe types tend to be fairly calm individuals when left alone, and the low level of their own feeling means that they aren’t likely to make very strong value judgments unless something dramatic/provocative is happening in the objective world that warrants judgment." - usagi isn't like this at all. she is constantly being distracted by new ideas (ne) and is always feeling some type of subjective internal emotion. a better example of a character who fits more of this fe description would be ami, (of which i believe is an ISFJ,, argument for her coming soon) or possibly even mako. usagi is known for having her own clear judgement of things especially when it comes to enemies or protecting others. when everyone else is in doubt, usagi makes it clear that she wants to protect her friends or the lives of innocent people as well as even the villains themselves. she is known to be very trusting because of this judgement and gives villains the benefit of the doubt and as well as second chances quite often. this is because of her own morality, not for the sake of the group. here are a few fi descriptions as well for reference mbti fi; "Introverted feeling acts as a filter- it often is considering the worth of something based on the truth in which it is based. We decide where something is worth standing up for based on its truth and significance. We often have feelings of a persons essence and this helps us to determine if something is fake or true. Introverted feeling is often expressed through actions and feelings rather than words. Seeks harmony of action and thoughts with personal values. May not always articulate those values" pt II in replies

Biography

THE Shoujo heroine. THE Magical Girl Warrior. The Protagonist of the series. Usagi is an ordinary junior high school student who discovers one day, thanks to the appearance of her mentor mascot Luna, that she is a warrior destined to protect Earth from the evils that threaten to destroy it. It is later revealed that she is the reincarnation of Princess Serenity from centuries past, and that she will one day become Neo-Queen Serenity and rule the world. Though initially frightened by this responsibility, Usagi grows over the course of the series from a spoiled crybaby unsure of herself and her abilities into a brave fighter for love and justice (though she never quite gives up her goofy ways).
