Princess Luna MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Princess Luna? Princess Luna is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - sp/sx - 469 in Enneagram, RLOAI in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.

ig here's the INTJ argument people are looking for INTJs whose enneatypes deviate to 4 have more blatant Fi qualities. In other words, they are the most sensitive and melancholic INTJs one would come across. More importantly, she displays zero Ne. If she even were to be another type, why not ISFP? ISFP functions are more similar to INTJ than INFP. I presume the INFP voters wanted to go for an intuitive type, hence ignoring ISFP as an option. In retrospect, even if she is not an ISFP, that possibility is not as illogical as INFP. The only basis I am seeing for INFP arguments is "oH bUT shE obViouSLY uSEs Fi a loT". And not only is this precedent unsound, but it fails to discuss the rest of her functions. Since so many people are cluttering the comments asking for INTJ arguments (instead of looking for them by just sorting by top comments lmfao // its literally just two clicks away), I'll share my own two cents. Luna is in a Ni-Fi loop. Especially during her corruption into Nightmare Moon. Though there is another striking example as well. If anybody recalls, she creates this malicious creature called Tantabus to punish herself. Out of severe remorse, she voluntarily subjects herself to a never-ending nightmare to repent for what she did as Nightmare Moon. And yes, I will not ignore the fact that her Te is harder to discern, as she relies primely on her introverted functions. I do not like to use grips and loops to type characters, so I will provide my justifications for Te as well. I am too lazy to weave these into my paragraph, so each justification will be in individual bullet points: - As one of the princesses of Equestria, it is clear that she takes her role very seriously. Before her conflict with Celestia, the two worked together to combat villains such as Discord. And while it is hard to determine her exact mentality (bg lore does not explain enough), we can assume that she is willing to take action & uphold her duties towards protecting her realm. Let's take into account that her feelings of resentment towards Celestia grew over a span of many, many years. She was able to set aside this sentiment for the longest time, for the sake of her duties as a ruler. - The episode "Excessive Decorum" highlights some aspects of Luna's demeanor. To the residents of Ponyville, she comes off as intimidating and assertive. Due to aux Te, she may behave too harshly (or stiff!) for one to like her. Due to the Te-Fi combination, most INTJs share this sentiment. I certainly can attest to this. Notably, she takes a liking to Twilight and connects with her easier. Both have Te-Fi in the same positions, and Twilight once struggled with bad Fe as well (the first season) - Te is provoked when she is Nightmare Moon. It is as if she becomes this bad Te-dom stereotype in the sense she becomes domineering, insensitive, and abysmally autocratic. When she is Nightmare Moon, it is hard to discern any Fi at all. Sure, we can immediately sense it before her transformation, but definitely not during. - The entire concept of "Dream Duty" is Ni-Te. The nature of the task is highly nebulous, with no defined structures. Among all the dreams that ponies may be having, it is Luna's job to pick and choose which ones are the most prudent to visit. She executes these responsibilities on her own visions and ideas of what is best , which is indicative of Ni. Then she scopes the objective root of the problem in order to help the pony who is having the dream. And when Luna shows up in Scootaloo's dream, she states: "I am the princess of the night. Thus it is my duty to come into your dreams". Her tone comes off as authoritative and stiff, rather than promoting the airs of a benevolent princess. Te users in the dominant or auxiliary position may present themselves in ways that indicate constraint and rigidity. Alright, I just wrote an entire essay justifying why a blue cartoon pony is an INTJ If this doesn't appease skeptics, oh well.

Biography

Princess Celestia's younger sister. She co-rules Equestria alongside her older sister. According to the creation myth, she used to govern nighttime, but grew jealous of her sister and wound up sealed away for a thousand years as the Mare in the Moon.
