What personality type is Lucy Heartfilia? Lucy Heartfilia is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - so/sx - 279 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, IEE in Socionics.
Lucy is significantly more concerned with others than herself. Sure, she wants to avoid trouble at times, but don't forget that she has to stay around Natsu, who's impulsive and not very diplomatic. And the type of trouble she wants to avoid is violence-related which is often the type of work he gets them, and she does so through expressing herself clearly. Some sort of compromise is understandable. She's often seen worrying about others and making sure they are doing okay. She even got an entire arc that highlights that. If she was an ENFP, she would quite likely be more thrilled about Natsu's antics and take part in them with him. Or just tell him how she feels about them in a way he either stops or leaves her alone. Instead, she is very stressed by them and is concerned about how his recklessness could lead him and the people surrounding him to danger. The main reason she tags along anyway is that she cares a lot about him and other members of the team. Likewise, she shows a lot of regard for her fellow guild members and thinks of them as her family. She is seen to be on the same wavelength as Gray quite often, who's an ISTP and has Ti-Se-Ni-Fe i.e. the same functions as ENFJ in the reverse order. They are often seen being rational together, except Gray doesn't hesitate to get in action, while Lucy needs to be a lot more assured in order to do that, and would rather talk things out first. She is very confident in her charm skills, and while it can get downplayed for comedic reasons, she has shown enough of a success rate too that it can be said she's indeed capable. Also, very determined when she has the drive; it can be seen with how consistently and attentively she works on her novel. And the goal seems to be telling an inspirational tale that touches people's hearts. Besides, do you know how much resolve she needs in order to perform her iconic Lucy Kick? All that tertiary Se shows. My favorite in Fairy Tail along with Gray. =)
Biography
Lucy Heartfilia is a female Celestial Wizard who uses a set of magical Gatekeys to summon otherworldly Celestial Spirits to fight on her behalf. The debutante of the wealthy Heartfilia family, Lucy leaves her family life behind to pursue her dream of joining Fairy Tail. Lucy's dream comes true after a fateful encounter with Natsu Dragneel and Happy, whom she joins forces with to perform missions and pay the rent for her house in Magnolia. Though she loves her friends and spirits dearly, she gets very frustrated by their insane antics at times. Lucy starts out with three of the ultra-rare and powerful golden keys of the Zodiac—Aquarius, Taurus, and Cancer—and eventually brings her total collection up to ten keys, excluding Pisces and Libra. She prefers to fight alongside her spirits with her whip, which she replaces with the energy whip Fleuve d'Étoiles. After honing her skills, she learns to wear Star Dresses, clothes that grant her the powers of her spirits.
