Gray is an ISTP. Ti - I'm pretty sure of introverted thinking being his dominant function. It can be noticed in his approach to learning Ice Make with Ur. While Lyon (Te user) was much more concerned with the external result of his ice make (DOES IT WORK?) to the point where he didn't care at all to the principles if it gave him the desired result (contextual). Gray was much more focused in the principles of it (HOW DOES IT WORK). Making him much more concerned with his own understanding of the matter, which could be applied at any given context (universal). Se-Ni axis: While Ne-Si users are all about subjective perceptions of reality, exploring multiple perspectives, Se-Ni users are all about being objective in their own perceptions, trying to align themselves with what they affirm being reality. Gray wasn’t much of a debater or talker, rather, he uses his Ti in conjunction with an objective perception of the world (Se), which made of him very focused, self-confident, and always aware of his own environment. A thing about ISTPs is that most of them want to “master” or “dominate” things due to Ti-Se-Ni conjunction, and this can be seen in his character development. Fe – Being his inferior function, Gray cares about his guild and his friends much more than he can express verbally. He is someone with a deep desire of being accepted and belonging to the group, however, he’s not actually conscious about that feeling until he feels like he doesn’t deserve being part of the guild (just like when he lost the first fight in magical games). This ends up making him seems too distant, aloof or even “too sharp” with others even if it’s not his intention to be like that. His motivation is basically being strong enough to be part of the guild, even though at many times he seems to have some sort of crisis when it comes to showing that.
Biography
Gray is an ice wizard and rival of Natsu, who happens to be a fire wizard. Though more down-to-earth than most of his guildmates, he has the unhealthy habit of taking off his clothes without thinking. He was taught everything he knows about magic by the wizard Ur, whom he took up training under for the sole purpose of taking vengeance against the demon Deliora for killing his family. But his overconfidence resulted in Ur's sacrifice, and he's tried to remain level-headed ever since. Gray's magic, Ice Make, lets him create ice and mold it into various weapons and tools almost instantly. After his encounter with Silver, a Demon Slayer from the dark guild Tartaros, Gray inherits his Ice Demon Slayer Magic, which gives him superhuman abilities similar to a Dragon Slayer that are particularly effective against demons, but comes with the risk of corrupting his body and mind.
