𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗼 The Superego block is the starting point of a person’s worldview. Being located in the Mental Ring and low-dimension (weak), this block is socially conforming. People want to fulfill social expectations in this block, yet they’re naturally weak in this which would lead them to become highly conscious about it. For ILI, they have Si in Role function and Fe in Vulnerable function. This means that ILI readily accepts what society deems comforting to one’s body and the proper way to regulate it (Si) and the moods surrounding the existence and disappearance of those (Fe). This block is the source of a person’s chronic worries, which means that ILI is perpetually disturbed with the need to feel satisfying sensations and the need to ensure the same thing for other people to keep people’s emotionality in check. 𝟭/𝟭 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 (𝗦𝗶-) 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 The starting point of one’s Mental Ring, the social self of a person. An ILI readily accepts the widely accepted society’s concept of maintaining one’s body, controlling one’s temptations, regulating one’s consumption, and directing attention towards painful sensation. Since this function is an accepting function, they always re-evaluate their knowledge in this, continuously learning about how to properly take care of themselves. Taking a shower properly, eating nutritious foods, not drinking alcoholic beverages, not smoking, and eating junk foods. They believe that they must adhere to them all time, which may make them overly regulate themselves. They may become very retentive and self-imposing strict regulations regarding what kind of food they can and can’t eat, how to use soap in their body’s nooks and crannies, and wearing things that cover their body to prevent illness. They may feel guilty if they “break” this rule, yet they may feel that it’s alright to be “naughty” at times. They internally feel that the society’s limit is too rigid and exaggerated, yet they don’t understand why. They would understand the reason if their dual, SEE, tells them. Otherwise, if not, an ILI may keep this criticism inside their head and pass it to the next functions and block. 𝟮/𝟭 𝗩𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 (𝗙𝗲-) 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 The point of least resistance in one’s consciousness. Here, an ILI readily learns about what kind of emotional reaction would happen if there’s something that could cause wide disturbances in human’s body. Examples are disease outbreak, water contamination, food poisoning, or natural disasters. ILI naturally focuses on the dark emotional moods that may arise from those, like sadness, anger, despair, and hopelessness. They naturally feel all those emotions and can’t block them from their consciousness. Yet because this function is one-dimension, they feel weak and helpless to fight it. An ILI is greatly disturbed by those prospects. They’re also disturbed with the fact that they have to partake in calming and balancing other people’s emotional state in the event of despair and sadness, since they know they can’t do it. This also applies when the same thing happens to ILI. If an ILI falls sick or feels nauseous, they don’t want to see a doctor since they’re afraid that their pitiful state of them may “shock” the doctor. They also don’t want others to see or find out about their “body regulation” program since they’ll be disturbed with the other’s emotional reaction to it. ILI has rooted hypersensitivity with emotions, and they think that people will always react to everything about them. They need SEE’s help to take care of this issue for them. Otherwise, an ILI may become a shut-in and never leave outside since they can’t bear everyone’s natural reactions from interacting with them.
