one of my fav if not my favourite character from bsd, he's so interesting and his reasoning and actions just make so much sense. extremely relatable and understandable character but i haven't seen any explanation of his typing so im gonna explain my point of view. SPOILERS FOR MANGA first, he's clearly a Se dom. he doesn't really care about the consequences of his actions, especially when it comes to actions connected with his emotions (the fukuchi situation is a great example, the yosano one too but I'll talk about it later). u can say that he makes decisions blindly hehe he anyway. the yosano situation is a good example of his inferior Ni, u can clearly see the inf Ni grip, even tho normally he makes decisions impulsively, the circumstances of his brother's death made him plan one of the biggest fcking scam of the bsd universe. all this time he is driven by his heart (is there a saying like this? im not a native please correct me if there isn't) but he also has a very strong Te (the 'orders make me who i am' speech) and isn't very likely to break the orders of people who he respects (the 'who he respects' part is important), the only exception is the moment when he feels like he knows better because that's what his heart/feelings tell him (again the fukuchi situation). my favorite proof why fi over ti is the 'because i hated being compared to him, i purposely took the opposite path and became a delinquent. but fighting and being bad didn't erase the pain that i didn't understand'. he's kind of lost with his own feelings, even tho he probably wasn't able to admit it. he's also extremely confused about the person he is, he def has a 4 in his tritype but i think 649>694, it's not a very big change but personally, i do not see him as any kind of peacemaker and he definitely doesn't try to avoid any arguments, we should stop doing the '9s are when orders' type of stereotyping. i would even debate if there is a 9 in his tritype but i don't see anything else from the gut triad and it's probably the closest to him. he's enneagram is super clear and it's definitely the combination of this three types. the so6 makes a lot of sense and he's actually my favourite example of so6 in manga :DD ichazo used the word 'duty' (but naranjo described it more like being concerned with duty and personally, i agree with this sentence more than with a word) to describe so6 and that's exactly the word that you can use to describe tachihara. social sixes have a very black and white thinking, they see things as good or bad and they look very subjective at things, referring them to their point of reference (that's also an argument why ti>te for people who follow the stereotype 'te is when orders' but we are not talking about mbti now) - one of his situations in life that he looks at when making a decision is his brother's life, death and it's circumstances. so6 life can become easier if they would forget about duty and start trusting his intuition and that's exactly what tachihara's character development was in this whole terrorists dilemma, even tho the members of black lizards also kind of influenced his decisions, he still had two strong opinions in both groups that he belonged to and he had to choose the correct one by trusting his intuition instead of his orders. sx6 is also debatable and in my opinion the defense by offense also fits him very well but not as much as so6, that's why i would stuck to so/sx 6 for him also i really want to say how 8 in his tritype doesn't make sense for me. it's again the 'orders make me who i am' quote, he doesn't really care about being an individual and doesn't feel the need to be in control, being confident doesn't make him an 8, i feel like people type him as 8 because of the stereotypes. i can eventually see so8 in some fragments but I'm not sure and i would love to hear the arguments for his 8 fix. anyway tachihara solos your fav i love him and he's a very well written and relatable character
