What personality type is Android 17 (Lapis)? Android 17 (Lapis) is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - sp/sx - 973 in Enneagram, RCUAN in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
He's certainly an ISTP but I won't vote for his Enneagram because in Z I think he was a 7wing8 and in Super he is an 9wing8 (Who I found to be more relatable with his behaviour).
Biography
Android 17 ('Cyborg 17', technically) is the younger twin-brother of Android 18. Prior to being experimented and being made a Cyborg by Dr. Gero, he was 'Lapis', a delinquent teenager. He and his twin-sister were major antagonists for the bulk of the Android/Cell saga. However, unlike their counterparts from Future Trunks' timeline, they were not "inherently evil"- just aimless rebels who tried to seek and challenge Goku in order to find a purpose for their existence. Android 17, for the majority of the Android/Cell saga, was cocky, bratty and reckless. However, over the course of the series, by the Tournament of Power saga in DB Super, he mellowed out a lot and became a forest ranger, having a family of his own, with the intent of protecting and caring Earth's flora and fauna, in due parts being inspired and to honor his late-friend Android 16. Despite all this, he is still noticeably "stoic and aloof/apathetic", coming across as a reclusive hermit.
