Personality

What personality type is Yuichi Katagiri? Yuichi Katagiri is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sx/sp - 684 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.

It seems like ENTP voters are mocking those who see Yuuichi as an INTJ. But in reality, they might be the ones falling for the most cliché stereotypes. I'm going to present arguments about Yuuichi being an INTJ with possible spoilers First of all, I'll explain how Yuuichi's way of planning is driven by Ni processes and how he follows the ideal path. In every arc, Yuuichi dives into the essence and purpose of the game (How does this game measure friendship? What obstacles does it present?) and accordingly develops a single, fixed ideal vision. You can even see that in the zombie game, he claims that he followed the key to the game. Some people say that Yuuichi acts very spontaneously and responds to situations as they come, but this is not the case. You must realize that although it may seem like Yuuichi is reacting to events as they occur throughout the arc and appears to be harmless outside of this, we learn every time that these seemingly random small moves are actually part of the larger plan. Even in the contract rule that he supposedly put forward to protect Kei, we later understand that this was actually part of his ideal strategy, the double gamble method. Even Satone's father was astonished at the end of the gambling arc by how much Yuuichi had calculated beforehand. He never, ever looks for new methods. He always follows the path he believes to be the most ideal. We saw this very clearly in the final game. He even stated that he had been searching for the best and most ideal outcome that would satisfy everyone from the beginning of the game. And all these seemingly random events from the start of the game were actually part of Yuuichi's ideal plan. Despite the different events that unfold each time, Yuuichi remains committed to his ideal path and instead of creating new plans according to these events, he thinks about how he can incorporate them into his ideal plan. That’s exactly the part where, like everyone else, you’ve fallen into Yuuichi’s trap. My guy may be wearing an ad-lib person mask, but he’s actually an INTJ. Remember in the hide-and-seek game, when it seemed like he resorted to a last-minute dirty plan out of necessity? Later, turned out he actually had sensed from the beginning that Maria was the admin and that the moment the kid from the group K joined his team he had secured the ideal victory from the start. Similarly, in the prison arc, remember how Kei came to Yuuichi at the end of the game and said, “You marketed yourself as if you were just coming up with solutions to sudden events, by this way gained everyone’s sympathy, but this was your plan all along; you knocked over the dominoes at the very start of the game, didn’t you?” This clearly shows how everything was part of Yuuichi’s long-term vision. Just like how he seemed to impulsively dive into the very first bet of the gambling game and lose, but in reality, he deliberately lost so that others would see him as an easy target and not feel the need to watch him closely—because his bigger plan required it. Remember the second game. Yuuichi did not consider different possibilities about who the traitor might be and then decide who was the most logical through internal judgment. He literally sensed that Tenji was the traitor and then revealed this through external elimination processes. Clear Ni-Te. When Tenji asked him why he initially suspected him, he said, "There was something strange about you," which, if not a great Ni+Se perception, then what is? As for Fi, Yuuichi doesn’t care about people’s feelings. Remember how he didn’t hesitate to use, betray, or do anything unethical when Kei wanted to join their group. His special treatment is only for his friends because he's been through a lot of questioning and events about the importance of friendship. Yuka, who first showed him love and became a pure role model for him (oh, and if you've read the finale, you know he killed his mother because she didn't fit his Ni's ideal figure, in order to protect that ideal figure in his mind), constantly emphasized the importance of friends to Yuuichi. That's why friends hold a special place for him. This is a completely subjective value and principle: "I must protect my friends, they are more important than money." A rule he's set for himself based on his subjective experiences. He doesn’t care about society's values or feelings. And for the love of God, can we stop voting my guy as evil? Even Deadpool gets voted as chaotic neutral, so how is Yuuichi chaotic evil? Even though he has no moral concerns, he has his own values and things he cares about. He's not completely sadistic and selfish. Do I even need to remind you how many times he's sacrificed himself for his friends?
