What personality type is Akaashi Keiji? Akaashi Keiji is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/so - 693 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.
It's refreshing seeing this type of representation of an INTJ that isn't a self centered villain and is just a normal guy you'd come across. Even though he isn't one of my top fav characters from the show, I really do see myself in him. I play a sport as well, I play tennis and I wasn't active in the past and was forced into it from a friend (kind of like Kenma's backstory lol). I was new to the sport and you could tell I wasn't an active person but something my coach always told me was that even though I looked a little lost I acted almost if I had a lot of trust in myself and I was good at catching on to patterns. This was before I learned about MBTI and it's interesting seeing how much I use my intuition in my life. Last year there was Freshmen that joined tennis and they were just as lost as I was. I don't typically go out of my way helping just anybody, but I learned a new side of myself. I learned that I really enjoyed helping them out and teaching them what I know kind of like a proud mother moment when they perform them right, like how Akaashi is proud of Bokuto I too get a joy when others have the will to learn as much as I do for myself. I really do appreciate the show Haikyuu because I find it so interesting seeing all these different personalities interact with each other in a realistic setting. People in real life don't act as animated but I like how there is literally a character anyone can relate to within the show especially as a high schooler.
Biography
Keiji Akaashi (Japanese: 赤葦 京治 Akaashi Keiji) was a second year student attending Fukurōdani Academy. He played on the boys volleyball team as the starting setter and vice captain. Akaashi is calm and composed most of the time, usually choosing not to show a wide range of emotions. He has a habit of calling people out on the foolish things they do, especially Bokuto, whom he seems to be relatively close with despite their opposing personalities. He is blunt with the things he says and often invites himself into the conversation when necessary, throwing in witty comments or responses. He is also quite polite and humble but, this could be due to the fact that he is younger than most of his teammates, as he does have a cheeky side.
