What personality type is Mitsuri Kanroji? Mitsuri Kanroji is an ESFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - sx/so - 279 in Enneagram, SCUAN in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.

Upon seeing Mitsuri's page, it came as a great surprise to me to see that Mitsuri is typed INFP despite being such a blatant extraverted feeling type, EF dominant no less. But what was most surprising was that nobody on Mitsuri’s page has come to disprove this, so here I am. Firstly, we must understand the differences between introversion and extraversion feelers. According to Van Der Hoop, the extraverted feeling type lives entirely for contacts of feeling with other people. Their emotional expressions, inward and outward, assume a form which is generally approved in the community. All the actions, thoughts, and observations of people of this type are, however, governed by the effort to establish relationships of feeling with other people. In this, feeling constantly seeks expression, and tries accordingly to arouse corresponding feelings in others, sometimes by means of almost imperceptible manifestations on their own part. The fine shading of their own emotional life enables them, moreover, to read the feelings of others from the smallest indications. In this case, their insight is not always consciously employed, but is more likely to be revealed in an adjustment of their own reactions to such feelings on the part of other people. The EF dominant’s values are based on what is generally accepted. They also try to have harmony in their environment. The EF type thrives entirely off of its environment and is strictly focused on external information. The main goal for them is to establish a bond with other people, and as a result, this person is easily characterized as someone who is well adjusted socially and to their environment. Rather, on the other hand, for the introverted feeling type, the IF finds support and guidance by shaping their own feelings/attitudes in accordance with an inner ideal. Here the activities of feeling are hidden, and from the outside there is, as a rule, little to tell us that we are dealing with a person of the introverted feeling type. Feeling aims more especially at an inner harmony, trying to discover what under various circumstances should be the right relationships between people if life is to be beautiful and well balanced. The extraverted feeler type seeks to judge the value of objects based on OBJECTIVE factors; it disregards the subject. Introverted feeling does the exact opposite: its criteria is exclusively subjective, and it suppresses the influence of the object. Fe internalizes *external* values and sentiments, and Fi externalizes *internal* values and sentiments. Fi will disregard any external opinions. It does not trust any criteria for judging a thing's value except it comes from the subject itself. Thus, someone else's values are of no interest to it: other people's values and demands only cloud its own judgment of what is valuable. Let’s take a look at Mitsuri’s character: Mitsuri Kanroji was born differently from others. Beneath her lithe build, her muscle density is actually eight times that of a regular human. In order to stay healthy, she required to eat more than the average human. As a consequence, she was unable to find a suitor who would accept her. She’s constantly attempting to fit others’ criteria, altering virtually everything about her to be accepted. “Is there any place in the world for me to be me? Is there anyone out there who will actually like me?” To conclude, saying that Mitsuri is a IF dominant would be a grosse mischaracterization of her character. She takes others’ values and judgments and makes them her own, internalizes them—this is evident within her entire character arc, like after her marriage interview, how she hid herself because others didn’t accept her how she truly was—the epitome of the EF dominant.
