What personality type is Kyōjurō Rengoku? Kyōjurō Rengoku is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 1w2 - so/sx - 127 in Enneagram, SCOAN in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.
I have seen some people commenting that he is "efficient", "objective", "straightforward" & that makes him be an ENTJ. that is not only wrong, but it also implies that people here think ENFJs are not capable of being efficient or outspoken. are we talking about the same personality type? firstly, I'd like to address certain biased notions some ENTJ voters seem to have (because not all ENTJ voters believe in the following stereotypes & I've even read some convincing arguments). Fe does not mean empathy & an Fe user being serious/objective does not make them less of an Fe user. in fact, Fe is just as objective & logical as Te when it comes to the way it functions: it collects objective external information & data - the difference between these two functions is that the information Fe collects is related to social external ideals/social norms and that the information Te collects is related to external theories/systems also, some ENTJ voters have pointed out that that scene in which Rengoku agrees with killing Nezuko shows Te because an Fe user would try to preserve social harmony or empathize with Tanjirou's or Nezuko's feelings. I, on the other hand, couldn't think of a better example of Fe usage when I thought about this scene. like I've mentioned, Fe sees the group's ideals/values - Rengoku prioritized the values the Hashira in detriment of the individual feelings of Tanjirou and Nezuko. he thought it made more sense to consider the group's values - that is Fe. not to mention he as a 1w2. it makes sense for him to focus on what seems just or right & communicate his thoughts objectively. type 1s are critical, orderly & straightforward. some of you are mixing enneagram with cognitive functions so, to put it simply, Fe users are not these friendly, warm & caring people. yes, they can be nice & empathetic, but we all know character doesn't define a person's personality type - and Fe users can be quite cold when it comes to valuing social norms over a person's individual feelings. there are several Fe users in fiction or even in history that considered murder as an option to support the group's values. Itachi, an INFJ (from Naruto) murdered his entire family to prevent a war that would harm Konoha & world harmony, for instance, because of the ideals of the Konoha's elders
