"An idealist who won't give up on his friends" had me thinking that he was Fi dom for a second. But all his behavior is way more Te. Saying he is a dominant or auxiliary Fi user just because he doesn't want his friends to die is a stretch to me. Te dom with Fi inferior makes sense for him because even though he DOES use Fi, is always something he begrudgingly acknowledges or denies. He cares a lot about the people in his life but he is also insecure and sees it as a weakness. ex) he obviously cares about Yuchiro but puts out this tough commander exterior. A lot of it is probably due to guilty conscience. Guren also is shown repeatedly that he is willing to compromise on his morals and principles in exchange for getting things done. He is very results-oriented; SPOILERS he doesn't care that he is using Yuchiro and friends to achieve his end goal because that is what he decided to do, even if it means betraying their trust. To him, this is all justified because, in the end, his actions will save everyone.
Biography
Guren Ichinose (一瀬グレン, Ichinose Guren) is the main protagonist of the prequel story Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at Sixteen and its sequel, Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Resurrection at Nineteen light novel series. In addition, he is the tritagonist in the Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign manga series, which takes place eight years later. #YuichiNakamura
