What personality type is Adagio Dazzle? Adagio Dazzle is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sx - 387 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
While I can understand where the Fe base votes are coming from I must say I really disagree with them. The thing to consider with Adagio is that she herself is not particularly adept at manipulating the emotional atmosphere, she needs a pendant to do that for her. In fact, I’d go as far as to say this is one of her weaknesses, we can see whenever she doesn’t have the pendant she is actually quite bad at managing the emotions of others. Aushra describes Te in the following way: “When this element is in the leading position, the individual has the ability to plan his and others' work, understand the logicalness and illogicalness of processes, and correct the work activities of other people in accordance with this understanding. And the ability to apply personally and convey to others the most rational ways of doing things.” This to me, applies to Adagio rather well. She excels at the strategic and effective use of people and resources in reaching her long term goals. She knows what pieces have to fall into place to achieve the end result, and she is rather competent at leading her band to execute this plan of action. She is also pretty good at taking advantages of opportunities as they come up, being able to recognize how effective those opportunities will be in gaining power which is in line with Te being a dynamic process. “Gamma types don't tend to form or maintain groups based on fun, emotional interaction, but only take groups seriously that perform some common productive activity or discuss serious topics.” “Gamma types reject the idea that it's best to avoid confrontations so as not to spoil the mood of those present, they prefer directness in settling or at least discussing disagreements.” These descriptions, describing Gamma quadra and their devaluing of Fe, are pretty accurate to Adagio. Her group interaction is largely shown to revolve around productivity and planning to achieve her end goal. She has little time for any sort of social niceties which is exemplified when she loses the pendant and makes no effort to come off as more likeable to the people around her. Contrast this to EIE Cozy Glow who more actively engages in social pleasantries and promotes social values in order to manipulate others, and even after her initial defeat still makes attempts to charm and manipulate ponies she comes across. Adagio does not do any of this, it’s not something in her wheelhouse at all. She is also shown to be pretty openly confrontational to those within her group as well, she’s very direct in leading her group and she pretty much never avoids confrontation for the sake of the emotional atmosphere. These are all things that point away from her being Fe valuing, especially Fe base. Given this, she is a clear LIE to me.
Biography
Throughout Rainbow Rocks, Adagio Dazzle is shown to be scheming, manipulative, and only concerned with being adored by others. Using her dark magic, she is able to sway the students' opinion with ease and trick Trixie into removing the Rainbooms from the competition. She also displays a degree of sadism, seen when taking advantage of Sunset Shimmer's insecurities, and a considerable level of intelligence, as she quickly recognizes the Rainbooms as a source of magic. Adagio bears contempt toward her fellow sirens Aria and Sonata, calling them "idiots" and generally disliking their company. As the leader she is shown to grow irritated when her authority is questioned. In Sunset's Backstage Pass, Adagio shows deep resentment over losing her powers and being trapped in the human world. She also shows no respect to the Dazzlings' fans, calling them "human scum" under her breath.
